The best bit about our stay was the hotels location in the pedestrianised old part of town, making it much quieter and more relaxed getting about the place. It also had stunning views from the breakfast rooms terrace, the roof top drinks bar and from...More

Stayed here on 10/3 and 10/4/2017. Great place; clean; rooftop view spectacular; best breakfast view in town. Help was very friendly and helpful. A little hard to find, but well worth it. Especially liked the lemon grove around the pool.
Sorrento is probably the best place to locate yourself if you want to visit the Amalfi Coast. Located close to the railway station and in the heart of Sorrento is the Regina. The staff were fantastic and made this hotel stand out. My booking included...More

You will need a car to transfer from Airport/Railway Station to your Hotel but you won't need one to get around Sorrento. We were lucky enough to be picked up at Naples Railway Station by Umberto Di Martino who is a local taxi driver from Positano who is very passionate about the area. He is young & a real family man. On the journey he was full of places to visit & its history. He told us we wouldn't need a car as the roads were very busy & that the local train station ran an excellent service to Pompeii & cost next to nothing. The Harbour is a short walk from Hotel Regina where u can get boats to Capri & Naples & Umberto even told us the best days to visit according to the weather & sailing conditions. We used Umberto to take us on the Amalfi Coast drive which was an amazing experience & his prices compared favourably with local offices. We didn't want to go on a coach because of the hairpin bends. We loved Sorrento & it was a holiday of a lifetime for us & I'm sure you will have a wonderful time too. If you wanted to ring Umberto direct his number is +39 333 2055039.
