The location is excellent, our room was clean, the price reasonable, but most of all the staff, in particular Roberto made you feel welcome, part of a family. And this despite the ever-present tour groups, which can get a little annoying as they crowd the lobby and restaurant. The dinners though a bargain also were not anything special; we had... More

I stayed 3 nights as part of a tour group recently. I found the hotel was clean, comfortable and convenient as well. Located on the main street in Sorrento and close to the main bar, restaurant and shopping area, it is an ideal location to be in. The only real drawback was the noise that was heard from the street... More

We spent 5 days (4 nights) at the Ascot at the end of Sept. 2013. If you don't appreciate having to listen to loud traffic (half of it coming from Vespas with herniated mufflers) and street chatter for most of the night... then don't stay at the Ascot! If you want your toilet to flush all of its contents before... More

I have just returned from Sorrento and spent a week at the hotel Ascot It was a very nice hotel, the room was fine and cleaned every day Dinner had three choices and if you did not like the choices they were more than happy to make an alternative The staff were exceptional, from Fortunata on reception to Roberto, Fabricio,... We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were allocated a room on the third floor which had a great view of the coast. The only downside was that there was a lot of traffic noise but at the same time the location was ideal to allow us easy access to all that Sorrento has to offer. The room... More

Nice hotel with clean rooms. Right on Corso Italia and a 15 minute stroll to train station. Friendly desk staff. Sorrento is a great town for strolling and eating as well as shopping. The views from the waterfront are excellent. Weather was not too cooperative, but still a good place to visit.

For the cost it was fairly acceptable. Very much an Irish and UK tour group hotel. Staff were all lovely and helpful. Room was comfortable and cleaned well every day. The bathroom did need refurbishing - water in bath took ages to drain when you had a shower and the drains smelled a bit. It is in a convenient location... More

I thought the Hotel Ascot was a decent hotel. It is centrally located to all the attractions in the city and far enough so you are not in the middle of the action. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was helpful, including the dining facility. The pool area was well maintained, just no towels available which was... More
