Detailed Reviews
We had an excellent stay in the la Reginella. It couln’t be better. The owner Alex was giving every morning very good service at the breakfast. He gave us a lot of usefull info about the Capri- restaurants all tourist informations. The room was very clean and they made a room every day very well. The hotel is located in a very quiet area and it is walking distance to the center- 10min.
I really would recomended this hotel for a few days in Capri.
Enjoy- you will love it

I don’t normally write reviews but felt this place deserved one! Friendly host and staff . Coffee of any kind made to order for breakfast. Lovely selection of items for breakfast, all delicious!
The bed / pillows were super comfortable and bedroom has everything you needed.. including fridge with water , coffee tea making facilities.
The outside area was another beauty, with really comfortable sun loungers …The only bad thing was our stay was only one night!!!
So sorry we Cldnt stay longer.. I would recommend this gem x

Excellent hotel, a short climb up from the "piazzetta", Very good location, close to Arco Naturale, Villa Jovis , villa Fersen and far to the tourist crowd , this lovely hotel with one of the best views of Capri we found . Our room ( n*15) was nice, very clean and comfortable with a private terrace with a fantastic sea view,. Excellent breakfast with fresh cakes and pastries which are delicious! .Very helpful staff, the manager Alex is very friendly . Overall, a wonderful place to stay, I would return any time .

This is truly a great value for money B&B on Capri.
Two days before we arrived, the property owner, Alex, messaged us and asked how we were going to arrive at the residence.
He provided very useful information to assist us in getting our luggage from the port to the hotel.
Upon arrival Alex greeted us and was very friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay. He also has two adorable cocker spaniels for anyone who is a dog lover.
The room proved to be clean, well presented and cosy. Do not expect a large room but it is sufficient for a couple not carrying too much luggage.
The beds were comfortable enough but I found the mattress to be a little bit on the harder side. So those of you needing a soft mattress for your backs you may need to search elsewhere.
The bathroom was small but had amazing water pressure - a rare luxury in Europe. There was enough bathroom products as well for those of you concerned about soap and body wash.
Breakfast was included in our pricing and it was excellent! The owners were generous with what was on offer and included a large selection of cheeses, salami, quiches, cakes and pastries. To top it off, seeing Capri at sunrise on the balcony is an absolute delight.
However there are a few practical matters to be wary about this property.
1) this property is a good distance away from the main square. We are talking about a 700m walk from the main piazza with a slight incline. Those of you who wish to be closer to the action or are unwilling to walk that distance I would recommend looking for another property.
2) there are two paths to this hotel. The northern most walk is a bit longer but has a more gentle incline. The southern path is quicker but has a much steeper incline.
3) to get your luggage to this property I would HIGHLY recommend you hire a porter service if you aren't travelling extremely light or don't have proper backpacks.
Porter services can be found at Marina Grande (look for the tourist information building and then find the adjacent blue vans with staff having the word "Porter" printed on their backs) or at the main piazza next to the bus stop.
From the marina it will cost €10 to get each bag to the hotel. From the main piazza it will be €5. Well worth the money spent.
4) in the hotter months I would imagine there would be a lot more mosquitoes. Keep the windows closed and the air conditioner on if you're worried about them.
5) you will be given a 15% off voucher for the restaurant above the hotel called "La Palette". You can try it out or read my review. Maybe it might be better than my experience but my partner and I were not blown away by the service.
Overall La Reginella proved to be a delightful family-run B&B on an otherwise pricey island. It is good value for money, has friendly management and most importantly you get to wake up to a great view of the island in a peaceful part of Capri.

+1
Had never been to Capri before and selected this place on price value factors, but it turned out to be so much more. First, Alex the ‘host’ personally contacted us to ensure we knew how to reach the property and accommodate our bed requirements. Second we had an amazing garden ‘balcony, with two deck chairs, umbrella and table & chairs for enjoying the beautiful view and wine sipping. Finally the morning breakfast was a choice five start hotels could be proud of......the only downside was the upside.....climbing Everest to take the nightly slumbers was a real challenge for the physically impaired i.e. a fat person like me!

We spent one night on our arrival to Capri with our dog. The manager is a very warm person, professional how to make people feel home. Our dog was also treated very well and we were specially happy for this.
Room were very quite, located perfectly right near the center but completly silenced from the town noise. Breakfast was off the hook, kind of like in 5 star hotels. If we will ever come back to the island is the only place i’m willing to stay.

I chose this hotel based on Trip Advisor reviews, so I feel it's only right to add to the positivity and also give a shout out to Alex, the wonderful owner of this place who puts so much heart and thoughtfulness into it. The view and breakfast were everything people said: lots of homemade baked goods, a variety of meats and cheeses, fresh tomatoes and fruit and about four kinds of juice ... if you couldn't make yourself a beautiful breakfast out of these offerings, you're not alive! Alex went out of his way for us, orienting us to the island for about a half-hour after we arrived, including sights to see and recommended restaurants -- nothing pushy, all gently delivered and up to us if we wanted to pursue. Which we did! Every recommendation was incredible and each one made our stay unforgettable. He helped us with getting our luggage to and from the ferry, he even served us breakfast one day when, with jet lag and not used to the late Capri dinners, we slept through it. Very sweet. The hotel is up a hill (all of Capri is hilly) so that while I enjoyed the setting and being able to leave the busy piazzetta scene for R & R, if you're not a walker this wouldn't be a good choice for you. But if you're reasonably fit and enjoy feeling you've found your own little gem, you will love it :)

We have spent some wonderful days at La Reginella.
The hotel is located 800 meters from the piazzetta and 300 meters from a large supermarket.
The view from the rooms is beautiful, oriented to Marina Grande.
The room is spacious and the bed super comfortable.
Breakfast is one of the best we have had in our trip to Italy (different types of cheeses, assorted fruits, oranges to make natural juice, nutella, cookies, eggs, an exquisite pastry) and all with excellent quality ingredients.
Alex has been a luxury host: always attentive and willing to help and explain everything about the island.
We will definitely be back!

We loved staying here. A relaxed and very comfortable stay. Alex, the guy who runs this place certainly knows his stuff - How to treat his customers and ensure they have a great time; for this, his accommodation deserves 5 stars alone.
The accommodation has spectacular views looking over Capri and benefits from being close to some excellent restaurants - check out Le Grottella which is a family run restaurant serving some amazing homemade dishes! The location of the hotel is also good for coastal walks.
The only draw back I would say is the amount of steep hills you have to climb but when you are eating such gorgeous food all the time, the exercise afterwards is welcomed!
All in all a fantastic stay!

Hello Rose, sorry for the late reply but apparently the question wasn't signalled to us till yesterday.
don't know if still interested but a 6.50 boat will get you around 7.45 in Naples, putting you at 8 am on the road and probably between 11 am and 12 noon at the airport, so yes it should be OK
Obviously more details depend on your day and date of departure, traffic, type of car and driving capacity
Best regards,
Alex
