The best thing is the location you are at the center of the shopping district surrounded by the best of restaurants as well as local stores. The concerige service was amazing always recomending the best of places to visit as well as helping us with any reservations we needed. We had an incredible stay, and would really recomend staying here when visiting Capri.

The Grand Hotel Quisisana is a luxurious hotel that provides a personalized travel experience that is rarely found anymore.

The hotel is situated on a large property in the center of Capri. It has a wonderful lobby, guest rooms with stunning views of the sea, a breakfast room that serves a memorable Italian breakfast buffet, a spa and gym, tennis courts and a pool that brings together travelers from all over the world. The staff are all professionals who have apprenticed at the hotel for many years and know repeat guests well. The concierges have a lot of pull in town so if you are going to stay at the hotel, then use them.

We found that the food in the hotel was a cut above many of the restaurants we ate at during our visit to Capri. You might try eating a room service breakfast on your terrace looking out at Faraglioni which is the iconic rock formation shown in all of the travel guides.

The hotel is expensive but provided a better value than other hotels we stayed at our on trip. For example, you don't need to go to a beach club if you are staying at the Quisi.

We were located in Room 501 which was down by the pool and very quiet. The room had 2 bath rooms - one with a jacuzzi tub and one with a shower. Each had a vanity so made it easy for both of us to get ready at same time. All the furnishing were outstanding. A motorized screen can be lowered for security at night to sliding door to pool.

The only thing grand about this hotel is the cavernous marble lobby that holds echos of what I imagine was once a nice place to stay.

At over 200 rooms, the boasted history of the hotel does not keep up with modern amenities - even the most basic ones.

The shower has a plastic shield guard that is so small you can’t wash your hair comfortably and without banging your elbows (I am a 120lb woman for reference).

If you are lucky and get an interior / pool facing view, your seaward gaze will be interrupted first by the screeching unpoliced children, and then by the equally loud screeching of the breaking down doors.

But more about the bathroom - it has phone plugs from the 80s / 90s still installed, the flushing is so loud you can hear it in the walls, and unlike other 5 star hotels in Italy that feature Dyson blow dryers, this one has a Stone Age monstrosity affixed to the wall.

Fear not, surely for thousands of dollars a night the beds must be wonderful, you say?

Well - pool facing rooms are at least quiet, so perhaps have a leg up on the standards (all first floor) that face the square and absorb the sound and riff raff turning the island into a sad version of Disney land without crowd control.

If they tell you the standard rooms will be quiet after midnight, do not believe them.

I assume, as well, the beds in a standard room are the same as pool facing ones. Those are certainly more quiet.

But I’ve had better mattresses in motels. The “linens” are hospital quality. And there is no amount of service or hospitality that can make up for the aging bones, and failings of basic amenities.

This is a 2 star air b n b vibe. Looks can be deceiving. Save your money. Or at least bring you own sheets.

The Quisisana is a nice hotel located perfectly where the action/stores/restaurants are. Was clean, staff wore masks, air conditioning in rooms were just okay, staff very friendly, patio in front of hotel is great for drinks or a light meal. We considered staying at Capri Palace which is much nicer/newer/hipper, but with kids this was more centrally located. From some of the other places it’s a ride.

Stopped off for a nightcap en route to our own hotel. Offered a table for two by a waiter, as we went to sit we were shooed away by maître’d/front of house (looked in charge) as another couple (who had seats already) wanted a table at the front - fair enough! We took their seats, waited and waited - no acknowledgment or menus delivered even though the same guy walked past our table several times to look after other couples/groups. Around 5-10 minutes later a trio of ladies take the seats in front of us and are immediately delivered menus and 5 star service by the same maître’d. We got up and left thereafter….still awaiting our menus…
I mentioned this to the guy in question as we left and I was greeted with a grunt and a shrug.
Looked like most others were being served well and location was excellent, unfortunately our experience with the wait staff spoiled a potentially fab visit.

Thank you Quisi for our beautiful room and wonderful hospitality. An iconic hotel they offers peace and tranquility once you pass through the doors. A great hotel is not just location or a building but the wonderful team who make the guests feel at home. the Dolce & Gabbana make over of the pool made the pool area feel even more special. Sad to leave. Can’t wait to return.

Very tired and worn down. The staff were fine but not overly nice for the amount of money you’re paying ($2,500 per night). The common areas look like they have not been updated in 20 years. The room honestly was at the level of a 2 star hotel. There were dead bugs all over. The bathroom looked like a dungeon. The shower was so small I almost fell out of it multiple times, and I’m an averaged size person. My bed (a king but just 2 twins pushed together) was very uncomfortable and the linens were cheap and old. Honestly this place is gross and is in need of a MAJOR renovation.

The hotel facilities and rooms are gorgeous. The room was spacious, bright, clean with exquisite bedding and towels. The staff pushes the experience solid five star! Respectfully attentive and genuinely friendly. I enjoy traveling solo for work and pleasure. Unfortunately, I had a number of negative experiences in Italy at restaurants where clearly they didn’t want a single woman sitting alone even though the place was 10% full. Not so at quisisana. A perfect place to relax after a hard morning of hiking the Capri hills, swimming, kayaking and site seeing. I’m not a vacation shopper. But if you are, this is your place on designer label row in Capri.

Beautiful Hotel in the heart of Capri. There is a restaurant on property where we spent many nights with friends. The food at the restaurant was good & the room service breakfast was nicely presented & tasty. Best part is we could easily walk to dine at other restaurants or visit the shops nearby. We loved it & would not hesitate to stay here again !

Hello, it’s a VERY strict rule and they are not flexible at all on that at any point I’m afraid. However they have an indoor pool that kids will be allowed to use during that time. Hope this has helped, however it is a very nice place to be in Capri ;)

Quisisana is superb. Centrally located, amazing service and a true 5* hotel. They even have lids on the men's urinals :-) You won't be disappointed with this choice.
