We stayed at this great old "palazzo" in the heart of Naples for only one night and wish we had booked a longer stay. The location is in a small laneway off Avenue Toledo and less than a 2 minute walk to the centre of Old Naples where there is a large range of restaurants, pubs, shops. Some touristy, some...

The B&B is located in a beautiful building. The entrance ceiling has beautiful painted ceiling. The B&B has very authentic furniture and very ceilings. The Palaccio is still being renovated so there are still some scaffolding. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast is very simply, but with all the great food in Naples this is good thing. The location...

This felt less like a hotel and more like dropping by the palazzo of your long lost uncle in Naples. We were welcomed by the proprietress and her father, who invited my family to wait in a parlor stuffed with antiques while I checked in. We were stayed just off reception in an elegant room with high ceilings and a...

The B&B is located in the heart of Naples! Next to the Via Toledo in the Centro Storico in the Spaccanapoli quartier. At a walking distance to the Piazza Plebiscito, the Harbour and the Castles. The place itself is amazing!! it was like living those days in a museum. Really clean and tidy. The breakfast is good, the hosts are...

My daughter selected this hotel to breath real Neopolitan atmosphere. Hotel was fantastic place from 16th century, it was in the renovation but we didn't care about it. Its location is perfect, in Napoli's Spaccanapoli quarter and so close to Dante Metro station. All rooms have double glazing windows, the traffic noisy of the street didn't bother us. Our room...

Carafa di Maddaloni B&B made an unusual and interesting contrast to the more modern hotels that we have stayed in. I love a place with a sense of history and I believe this Baroque building dates from the 16th century so that was very exciting for me. There is ongoing restoration work which involves lots of scaffolding and the area...

I am originally from Naples, and love the faded magnificence of buildings like Palazzo Carafa di Maddaloni, and its location is incredibly central to the places I wanted to be in (the old city centre rather than the seafront). I can't be too complimentary about the hosts, who were lovely (I saw them be incredibly courteous and helpful with foreign...

We were looking for an inexpensive place to stay in Naples, our first visit, and a base to visit Pompeii and Vesuvius. We didn't want an anonymous bland hotel, preferring to see a bit more of the 'real' Naples. This place ticked all the boxes. Don't be put off by the outside, which is a building site and Naples itself,...

Naples was our last stop on our mini tour of Italy and unfortunately we only had 1 day/night! After reading a lot on each area we were visiting I have to say we wernt looking forward to it. Scary reports of crime, pick pockets etc worried me but apart from being 'robbed' by the taxi driver from the station we...

The b&b was in the list of places suggested by the organisers of the conference. I choose it for the location and convenience. When I arrived I didn't have a great impression, the exterior of the building was falling apart, covered in black soot, scaffolds and cables, and a series of dustbins was aligned at the entrance. Not a great...

“As I said, if you want to have a lively view, get a room overlooking Via Toledo. If noise bothers you, you can always close the window and turn on the air conditioning. However, I never used the a/c, so you may want to ask if it works well.”
