Why does this hotel have room 102, it really doesnt help. We got put in room 102, and it was embrassing, as we couldnt fit my partner, me and the person at the front desk in the room at the same time, and we dont need to go on the Biggest Loser . He had to point from outside of...

Our review of this hotel is split in a negative and positive experience. When we checked in for our 3 nights stay, they gave us room 102. This is a room that is smaller than a shoe box. It is not possible to have your suitecase open and at the same time open the door to your room. This room...

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Opera Rome very much, we preferred the second room that we were allocated upon our return - we had a split booking 2 days and 3 days. The second room had more space and a larger bathroom too. Nice breakfast, excellent coffee and very friendly staff. The only thing we noticed was the noise...

This hotel is centrally located with easy access to all of the marquee monuments as well as the train station. The service is effective and they are reasonably flexible when it comes to check-in times. Reza and his staff do a great job of accommodating their guests and are very helpful with tips for first time visitors. The breakfast is...

This hotel is ideal located for exploring rome. The rooms were clean and of a good size, the bathroom was a little compact but had a large shower cubicle. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel offers the little touches that make the difference - like free Wi-Fi and also the use of a laptop computer for...

As soon as you walk into the fresco painted entrance you will get a feel for the decor that awaits you.The hotel has been recently refurbished to a high standard, with extensive use of marble throughout. Our double ensuite(although "cozy") had a balcony and was well equiped with all that you expect from a modern hotel.Situated next to the opera house...

We stayed at Hotel Opera Roma six nights, August 11-16, during the heat (90 degree +) of summer. At the end of our busy days of sightseeing we were grateful to return to this cool, tranquil oasis. The quiet, efficient air conditioning was a life saver. Our room (Number 106) was spacious, clean, and comfortable with pleasing contemporary decor and...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
