Considering a stay in Rome? Don't waste any more time. HOTEL OPERA ROMA IS THE PLACE TO STAY. My wife, daughter, and I stayed at the Hotel Opera Roma from 8-10 August 2009 (Room 106) during the last leg of our 2.5 week backpacking tour through Europe. Hotel Opera Roma is located on the very quiet Via Firenze at Number...

I wasn't able to get a room when I emailed, but when I called and spoke to Mr. Litu, he did his best to accommodate us. He scheduled us at another hotel for the first two nights then back at Hotel Opera Roma. He arranged for our shuttle from the airport, our private car from the hotel to the cruise...

Stayed with my sister in Hotel Opera in May 09, the location is great, and worth paying the extra, most sites are within walking distance, and also close to the metro. The service was friendly and courteous, and I have recommended this hotel to family and friends. Mr Samra

a small hotel, close to all attractions, at metro station Repubblica. Clean room, clean suite-room with whirlpool for a very reasonable price. The staff is very friendly.

My husband and I spent 5 nights at the Hotel Opera Roma in July. We had a fabulous stay!! The room was spacious (#209) and the air conditioning was fabulous as we were there during a bit of a heat wave. Try to avoid room #211 it's a bit small. Breakfast is delicious as is the made to order coffee....

Gracious hospitality greeted my husband and me at the Hotel Opera Roma in July 2009. Our room, with the cool marble floors, air conditioning, double bed, desk, and free internet service was all we were expecting and more! I plan to stay at the Hotel Opera Roma on a return trip to Rome.

This was definitely the most beautiful hotel on our entire European trip.. and we had very beautiful hotels every where else we went. It was a very classy small hotel ideally situated in Rome. The front staff was extremely helpful! They were always there for us when we needed something and never made it appear as though they were doing...

We were originally booked at the Hotel Sonya, but they said it was full and we were going to stay at the Hotel Opera. What a nice hotel. We had a huge room (by European standards) and the bathroom was huge too. The room was always immaculate and the a/c worked well. There was always someone at the front desk...

We had a great stay at the Hotel Opera in June /July 2009. We hadn't been to Italy for many years and found Hotel Opera to be a very pleasant surprise. The room was recently (and quite lavishly) refurbished and quite spacious (even with an additional bed for our 14 year old son). The bathroom was huge. There was free...

We stayed in the hotel in July 2009. It was located convenient to shops, bars and all the main tourist attractions. The rooms were bright and airy and the staff polite, and helpful. The facilities were modern and the rooms kept clean and tidy. The cost was reasonable. I'd certainly consider staying there again. Some of the shops around the...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
