The Glam Hotel stands out for its exceptional service, with staff earning accolades for their friendliness and attentiveness, though some guests have noted slower service at the bar. While the hotel's rooms are praised for being clean, modern, and spacious, concerns about noise, poor lighting, and varied amenities persist. Its central location is convenient yet can contribute to the noise level that some guests find disruptive. Despite the daily commendations on cleanliness, opinions on value are mixed, with the high cost of services and rooms sometimes seen as not justifying the expense. The rooftop bar and inviting atmosphere are highlights, yet there's a call for better consistency in amenities.

When we decided to visit Rome, we chose to stay at The Glam from personal recommendations and when we read the reviews, we were sold.

The hotel is around a 30 minute taxi ride from Fiumicino Airport which cost a flat fee of 50€, be prepared for some hair raising driving! When we arrived, we were swiftly checked in and given a voucher for our welcome drink. We booked a classic room on the first floor, the room was surprising large, very modern and spotlessly clean, with a mini bar and coffee machine. The view was only of the courtyard which wasn’t much but this did not matter as we were not in the hotel for most of the day. The bathroom didn’t have a door apart for the toilet which is pretty common in European hotels, but as with the rest of the room, it was very clean and towels were changed on a daily basis. The only issue was that there was slight smell of drains coming from the bathroom on the odd occasion, I’m sure that if I mentioned it to the staff, it would’ve been looked in to.

Breakfast had a smaller continental offering with some delicious pastries and cakes, toast, cereal and yoghurts. My personal favourites were the chocolate croissant and vanilla cake. And just like anywhere in Italy, the coffee was fantastic, especially for a self serve machine. We were usually at breakfast at around 9 and there were a few occasions where we had to wait for coffee cups but we didn’t have to wait long.

The location of the hotel is simply perfect. A 10 minute walk takes you to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and the Pantheon with many little cafe’s and gelatories along the way. The only place that we took a taxi to was the Vatican, while it was around a 45 minute walk, it was around 10 minutes through the traffic which cost around 15€. The Monti area of Rome where the hotel is located has some fantastic authentic restaurants and some great bars all within a few minutes walk. We also visited the hotel’s rooftop bar a couple of times after being out for the day exploring the city, the views over to the Wedding Cake was brilliant from there as we enjoyed our bottles of Peroni before sunset.

Finally, all the staff that we came into contact with were wonderful and could not do enough for you, from the reception staff, to the bar staff and housekeepers.

We felt that 4 nights wasn’t enough time for our first trip to Rome and we will definitely return to The Glam again!

The Glam Hotel was the perfect hotel for our weekend break.
â—ŹThe location is great, about a 10 min walk to the colosseum and also a 10 minute walk to the trevi fountain in the other direction. Very central with lots of restaurants and shops close by.
â—ŹThe rooms are spotlessly clean and spacious with tea & coffee facilities, hair dryer & safe.
â—ŹBreakfast is delicious with plenty of choice- fruit, cereals, pastries and cakes, salad, yoghurt, bacon & scrambled eggs etc, coffee and fruit juices.
â—ŹThe staff go above and beyond to be helpful. Nothing is too much trouble.
â—ŹThe rooftop terrace is a lovely addition to the hotel. Breakfast is served on the top floor, so you have the choice to sit inside or out. It's also great to just pop up there after a long day exploring the city to just sit and have a drink and relax.

All in all, The Glam Hotel was a great choice for us and we would definitely stay here again.

Just returned from a wonderful stay in this beautiful hotel, myself and my husband were fortunate enough to have been gifted this holiday from our Daughter as a Christmas present. From the moment we checked in we were treated like friends the front desk girls and boys are the best so friendly and so very helpful, helped us with all our directions ,booked numerous taxis for us they even told us where we could find gifts for our much loved pets they even let us see photos of their own fur babies which we loved .The hotel rooms are very modern and spotlessly clean and the restaurant and bar and terrace are superb. We stayed on a bed and breakfast package and the breakfast was excellent everything you could want and very attentive wait staff nothing was too much trouble. We are both senior citizens and we found the location of this hotel excellent for visiting all the major sights ,we did use a taxi for the Vatican but that's purely because of age and mobility issues. You can guarantee we will be back and the hotel management should be very proud of this lovely hotel and all the fabulous staff that work here thankyou for taking care of us !

The Glam hotel is located in the city center, but not in the most desirable part. We did an Italy trip starting in Venice, to Florence, then Rome and the Glam hotel provides the worst experience.
Costs: the room is as expensive per night as Florence or Venice, yet, it is by far the most average room with bare minimal amenities.
Room conditions: heating racking is not working. Towel rack keeps coming loose. Hair dryer has tapes on the cord. Housekeepers do not replace drinking glasses or wipe tables, or refill sanitary wrapper dispenser.
We were supposed to receive our welcome drinks upon arrival. Unlike other hotels where they have a bottle of champagne in the room, the Glam hotel provides a coupon for a tiny glass of champagne AND guests must claim it by 6pm. Wines are cheap in Italy, yet they manage to ruin something that can be managed so easily at a low cost.
Overall, I’m glad I only stayed 3 days in Rome or this hotel would ruin my vacation experience.

Dear nnnle, I am sorry to hear that your stay at The Glam Hotel did not meet your expectations. It is important for us to know your feedback in order to improve our services. We understand that the location of the hotel may not be what you wanted and we are sorry that you found the accommodation and the cost not up to your expectations compared to other cities visited in Italy. The description you provided about the condition of the room and the lack of attention to cleanliness will be brought to the attention of our staff to ensure concrete improvements. We also regret that the welcome drink experience did not live up to the level of hospitality we aim to offer. We will try to improve this aspect for future occasions. I hope that, despite these difficulties, the memories of your trip to Italy will be pleasant. Thanking you again for your comments, we hope to have the opportunity to offer you a more positive experience in the future. Kind regards, Giuliano Cassissa Resident Manager

Arrived at the hotel the receptionist who checked us in was smiley and friendly but this was not always the case with other members of the reception team.
The room was on the 3rd floor and was quite dark looking out onto another building which wasn't great.
The room was clean and well presented although furniture was a bit dated and tired and I didn't like the no real privacy bathroom , air con was great. No free water and only paper cups for hot drinks in the room.
Day 1 we were really looking forward to having our last drink of the day in the rooftop bar and it didn't disappoint, lovely surroundings ,helpful staff and a great atmosphere it was one of the reasons we chose this hotel along with its location.
Day 2 didn't sleep much pillows too hard asked at reception for feather pillows and they just said we dont do them! Breakfast was good but freshly squeezed orange juice would have been a nice offering, good choices available didn't agree with having to pay €8 + if you wanted anything other than the buffet breakfast for example an omelet.
Kettle in room didn't work and had to be replaced. Also had to have the key card reprogrammed.
Day 3 after being out all day had to have the key card reset yet again. On getting to the rooftop bar we were asked if we had a reservation as they were full, we said we were staying in the hotel and they let us in, there were plenty of seats available, we said to the staff that their first question should have been to ask if we were guests, as we we were then left feeling like an inconvenience.
Day 4 returned to hotel for our last drink of the holiday in the rooftop bar and were advised by another couple that it was closed for a private party hosted by the manager. There were no notices or information available to guests to advise this , we challenged the guy on reception regarding this and he made a phone call to the bar and were then told we could go up, it was extremely busy but seating was found for us in a carner and a complementary drink was offered. We were made to feel as though we did not belong there and was a most uncomfortable experience .
The website really puts emphasis on the rooftop bar and facilities but our experience wasn't great !
My advice to management would be more staff training and keep the paying guest at the centre of everything to make their stay exceptional not just OK!

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback about your recent stay with us. We appreciate your constructive comments and are glad to hear that there were some positive aspects to your stay. We are pleased that you found our initial check-in process friendly and that you enjoyed the rooftop bar on your first evening. Your positive remarks about the atmosphere and the helpful staff are much appreciated. However, we sincerely apologize for the various issues you encountered during your stay. It is disappointing to learn that your experience with some of our reception staff was not consistently friendly, and that your room did not meet your expectations regarding brightness and view. We understand that room ambiance and privacy are important for a comfortable stay. We regret that we were unable to accommodate your request for feather pillows and that the replacement of the kettle and the repeated reprogramming of your key card caused inconvenience. Your feedback about the lack of free water, paper cups, and the additional charge for certain breakfast items is also noted and will be reviewed. We apologize for the negative experiences you had with the rooftop bar on subsequent nights, including the lack of communication about private events and the feeling of being an inconvenience. This is certainly not the experience we aim to provide for our guests, and we will work on improving our communication and service in these areas. Thank you for your valuable suggestions for management. We take your advice seriously and will focus on additional staff training to ensure that all guests feel valued and have an exceptional stay. We appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve our services. We hope you might consider giving us another chance to provide you with a better experience in the future. Best regards, Giuliano Cassissa Resident Manager

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at this lovely hotel.

The hotel is ideally situated just a 10 minute stroll from both the Colosseum and the Trevi fountain.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, giving advice on places to eat and visit, as well as public transport.

On arrival the fridge in our room wasn’t working, we reported to reception and it was resolved straight away.

The room was very clean with plenty of space and nice decor. The shower was nice and powerful.

Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of hot and cold options on offer.

The roof top bar is lovely and a great place to have a drink at the end of the day with good views of the city. There are plenty of outdoor heaters and blankets if required.

I had seen reviews saying it was noisy in the rooms due to location and traffic. Whilst it is on a busy road you are in a capital city so this has to be expected.

The traffic died down in the evening and we never found it an issue.

Overall a nice hotel which I would have no hesitation in recommending and would use again.

If you plan on walking to the Trevi fountain or Spanish steps Apple and Google maps seems to send you a long way round. When you come out the front of the hotel there is a road tunnel with a footpath to the left of the museum. Walk through the tunnel and you will get there a lot quicker!

Pros

Centrally located, nothing is to far away to all the tourist sites you want to see, everything is walkable.

comfortable large king size bed

Cons

Things they can improve on....

for drinking hot beverages in your room you have paper cups....as a 4 star porcelain cup and saucer would be essential one would think?

Milk is given in tiny tiny plastic long life containers, and only a few at a time?? Why...No one is going to take the milk home.

In the breakfast room there are porcelain cups and saucers and teapots...but nothing to keep the milk ...so if you have tea..you are reduced to either taking the teacup to where the milk is (3 tables away) or taking the milk to your table to pour the required amount.

We got a taxi booked through the hotel to take us to the airport, when we paid the taxi driver he said there is 10 euro surcharge which you pay the Hotel....we didn't mind paying ofcourse, but it would have been nice if the staff who booked the taxi told us that would charge us 10 euros to make a phone call!!!

Dear Gleninkent, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed our central location and the comfort of the king-size bed. Regarding the points you've mentioned, we appreciate your feedback and will certainly take it into consideration. We understand how porcelain cups and saucers, as well as a more convenient way to serve milk, could enhance your experience, and we will review these aspects to improve the service for our future guests. As for the taxi situation, we would like to clarify that the €10 surcharge mentioned is not something imposed by the hotel, and there might have been a misunderstanding with the driver. The hotel does not charge extra for booking taxis, and we regret any confusion or inconvenience this caused. We hope to have the chance to welcome you back and provide a seamless experience during your next stay. Best regards, Giuliano Cassissa Resident Manager

We stayed here for 4 nights with our family of 4. The hotel location was excellent, we were able to walk nearly everywhere, and while it was located on a busy street noise was not an issue. Staff was very nice, especially at the front desk and the rooftop bar.

Rooms were a decent size especially for Europe. It was convnenient to have the sink outside of the shower/toilet area so we could get ready while someone else was showering. Only downfall of the room was lack of storage. Notenough drawer space for 4 people.

The breakfast was good, enough options to make everyone happy (coffee wasn't great). Rooftop was really nice in the evening!

Would definitely recommend!

The Glam hotel in Rome is exceptional, the location is amazing, very close to most main monuments, a 10 minute walk to the colosseum, 15 minutes to the trevi fountain, and lots of shops around the hotel.
The rooms are gorgeous, clean and modern, with everything you could need including a hairdryer, usb ports, shampoo and conditioner etc.
The rooftop bar is beautiful with amazing views and a great selection of food and drink, the breakfast buffet was very good, had great options, and all very fresh being topped up constantly, they also had gluten free options and alternative milks.
Now to the best part, the staff, who were amazing, helpful, friendly and professional, they were very attentive throughout our stay, they all made such effort to be welcoming and helpful and I would highly recommend this hotel, and I will be staying again on my return to Rome.
Thank you Glam

The Glam Hotel was the perfect place to stay on our first trip to Rome!! As we walked into the main entrance, we were truly delighted and impressed with the upscale but also very welcoming decor. The front desk staff was very very friendly and took care all of our needs. The location was ideal in that it was within walking distance of the main attractions that we wanted to see. Our room had the perfect amount of space and was very romantic. It was very clean and all of the linen was first class and the bedding was spot on and the mattress was heavenly!!! We also enjoyed the quiet location of our room. No street noise at all! The breakfast on the top floor was very varied and always delicious. We also had, on our first night there, dinner on the top floor restaurant and the food was just delectable!!! I cannot go any further without acknowledging the restaurant staff! They could not have been more gracious and friendly!! All in all our stay at The Glam Hotel was perfect and we will be staying there again when we revisit Rome! Thank you so much!!!

Hi Julie, yes there is complimentary water in the room, it will be in the mini fridge which will be full of other drinks which are definitely not complimentary. We had meals at Ristorante Tema, Diadema Restaurant and La Taverna dei Monti which were all nearby and fantastic.
Answer from Terry C
There is no shuttle to the airport from the Glam Hotel but the taxis have a fixed rate fare to either of Rome's airports, I believe it's about 55 Euros but don't quote me on it. We took a limo service from the airport at a slightly higher rate approx. 70 euros When we took the taxi to the airport, there was a premium added on of 10 euros as we needed the ride at 04:30.
