Same with other reviewer, booked Hotel Filippo Roma but room is in Hotel Sky which is nearby. Is located at old building which operates with old lift with wooden door. Room is clean and water is provided everyday in the room. Breakfast is provided at the basement of the hotel and very basic. Neighborhood is not very safe and seems...

Hotel Filippo has already a terrible reputation, I wish I had read it prior to booking. Area full of thieves and thugs who would steal your luggage. Not safe at night. The owner is arrogant and will not refund your money. There is no number on the door of the hotel so it is very hard to find. Breakfast is...

I booked a room at Hotel Filippo, but I stayed in Hotel Sky Roma... The neighborhood is not good but the hotel is close to the train station. Though I didn't feel safe walking out at night. And on our second night the lock of the outer door of the building was out of order, so we had to stand...

the hotel isn't in the prettiest neighbourhood, but it's a good spot to be in for a decent price. you can walk to almost everything from here. if you don't feel like walking, the metro is just around the corner to take you to the Spanish steps or the Vatican. the room was clean and spacious...there was a bedroom and...

Hotel is located next to Rome's Termini Train Station. It offers air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi and an LCD TV. Breakfast including coffee and croissants is served daily at a nearby café, when producing a voucher given by the hotel. Close to Termini Station with transport links by tram, bus and metro. The Coliseum is 2 metro stops away or...

Booked Hotel Filippo cos is near the station but was told our stay is at Sky Roma which is part of their chain. Is unexpected and was surprised. Is a distance away approx. 10 mins walk. Was not easy lugging our luggage which was heavy and stone walkway. Would be good if guests is informed of such changes in advance....

I was on a budget and had to stay around Hotel Filippp Roma. There's a lot of foreigners around the Termini station and it does look dangerous but trust me it's not. Lee checked me into Hotel Simone which is nearer to the Termini. The room is functional and the bed is comfy. We have a good night sleep. The...

Hotel Filippo is a small group of hotels (3) close to Termini station. We were given a room in Hotel Sky Roma, a couple of streets away. Although the room was small it was clean and comfortable. overlooking a courtyard it was difficult to tell how the weather was without going outside. Breakfast (continental) this time was provided in the...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

“A great firm king size bed for my bad back, extra pillows, clean, clean - highly recommend. Towels a little rough but kind service, daily complimentary bottled water .makes up for all. Earplugs help (but any urban condo you need them). WIFI in room .great for computer. We are in Hotel Simone, one of three hotels within 3 blocks they own. Reserved at Filippino but taken here - all good looks just like picture. Daily breakfast coupon for Miky Bar for coffee and croissant, it is great. Will definitely stay here again. Here six more days and if anything changes will advise. Rome is a noisy city - bring earplugs for good nights sleep”
