The hotel Salandra is a small place, a family like hotel, which is very near to Termini Station. It is very clean and comfortable. The guy in the desk is very helpful and he explained us anything from night life to taxi jargon about this ancient city. He gave a map with signed all important and must be see places....

Salandra Roma Suite is very well located, within walking distance from many touristic attractions. It was a pleasure to meet Gianni, a host who took a very good care of us, was very helpful and gave us many interesting tips concerning our stay in Rome and in the neighborhood

Good choice and great experience if you manage your expectations. Visited the Rome with my wife (kids left at home ;) ). You can expect: location close to Termini station (and metro) and within the walking distance to the main attractions (10-15 min walk to the touristic centre). Room is not very spacious, but good enough for 2 to feel...

Most people come to Rome for sightseeing and if you stay in the heart of the old city your "feeling of Rome" is much more vivid. That's why the main advantage of Salandra Roma Suite is the "strategic" position: you can walk everywhere exept Vatican. It is also only 10 minutes from Termini station. The neighbourhood is pleasant and authentic...

My husband, two daughters and I stayed at Salandra the beginning of September. The room was nice and seemed big but with 2 beds for our daughters made it a bit tight, for 2 nights we were fine, but we really appreciated that they were able to accommodate our daughters with us. Normally they don't allow more than 3 people...

It's not too far from Termini Metro station. The owners are resourceful and offered great recommendations to surrounding areas. They are friendly and easy to talk to. The rooms are great as well as the breakfast served each morning. This place is close to most things, and in a safe area. It's definitely a place to try and is priced...

The rooms are basic but very clean and cosy. Exactly what we were looking for, it is in the center of the city, close to restaurants and fantastic hospitality. We were given a map and told exactly were to go, where it is safe at night, where the food is good/decent prices.

We stayed here for 4 nights in October based on a recommendation. It is within walking distance of the the Termini station, but a taxi ride is cheap and easier. The room was basic, but clean and adequate for our needs. A basic continental breakfast was provided in our room every day. The staff was friendly and provided us with...

This is now Salandra Roma Suite, same location, same owners. Great for the price, excellent location. We stayed there on July 12th 2014 Super location close to the termini in Rome. Very friendly staff and ready to help all the time. For the price it is perfect, don't expect too much. Room was small but very clean and everything works...

I almost rated this hotel as very good, though the truth is closer to average by world standards and you should read of a range of reviews here -- excellent through terrible -- before you decide. Most reviews contain elements of truth, though some are exaggerated. First of all, hotels are very, very expensive in Rome. For the same money...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
