The location is excellent, close to the Colloseum and metro station, within walking distance to many attractions. The room was clean, the breakfast very nice and the staff very helpful - they gave us tips and directions.

It's a really nice ho(s)tel! Really close to the Colosseum! Had a lovely breakfast, even though we didn't order it. Our room was with a nice view, it was spacious enough and the beds were incredibly comfortable! Also, really cheap. Would definitely stay there again.

We walk in Rome, so location & a park the car for a couple of days is key. Sole e Luna is easy for both the above, clean, spacious & has a great front desk service. For its price, it's super easy to move w the locals, access city transport, eat well and return to rest comfortably w'out hotel fuss....

One of the worst hotel we have stayed at. I would not never stay there again. Room was bad ,it was very small. The mattress was so hard, I could have slept on the floor, it would have been softer. The pictures on their web site are not anything like the room we stayed in. We booked two rooms, as...

As many others have noted in here, they messed up our reservation. I had written confirmation of my arrival dates. After a long trip, we arrived to the staff saying our reservation was for the next day. I showed my confirmation. She apologized, but of course there were no rooms available. We were told they would put us in another...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
