Located near Termini Station, it is easy to go everywhere. The room was clean, quiet and warm, heated by an air conditioner.(It was made everyday). What I liked most was that it was equipped with a kitchenette and a refrigerator so that I could prepare meals. And it takes only 3 minutes to a big supermarket. Surroundings are not that...

Termini station is definitely THE place to stay as it leads you to many places very easily. Plus you have to know there is a Tourist Info Office in Termini station, where people are very helpful. Therefore, this place is ideal for its location. For the price paid, we felt we got good value. The room was clean with a...

Ultra clean. I had a single room, but it actually had a double bed with 2 pillows, desk, chair, closet, shelves, drawers, mini-fridge, tiny bathroom w/ shower, TV with handful of Italian stations, sound proof windows (very nice). It is located on 5th floor of apartment building, 5 rooms total. At check-in, you are given 3 keys, 1 for the...

It is about an apartment in the 5th floor of an old building. The apart' has been renovated in full. There is not a lounge or a dining room not even a kitchen for use.The breakfast is served at the room. The most important is that they have missed to insulate the walls and doors against noises/voices. However, the apart' has a pleasant...

If you don't want to have any problems related to your stay in Rome, DO NOT CHOOSE THIS HOTEL. I have made sure of it personally. First, the day before my arrival I wrote a letter to the staff where I specified my flight's number and estimated time of the arrival at the hotel (about 20.30). Unfortunately, my wife and...

I'm not sure where all the negative reviews are coming from. Not sure if people haven't done their research so don't know what sort of property they are coming to. I was somewhat nervous about what to expect given 2 extremely negative reviews posted after we had booked but before we had got there. If you read the posts here...

I was amazed, how precise was the previous report about this B&B! Indeed, at the 1st night about midnight someone started to ring door bell and it sounded like a fire alarm, dirty coffee cups served at the breakfast. Actually, it is not B&B in american sense, rather apartment rent room by room, with no living room and no access...

It was safe, super-clean, quiet, astonishingly close to the train station, and very reasonably priced. Alessandra, the manager, really took care of my mom and I while we were there, offering great advice and looking up what she couldn't answer. We stayed twice - at the beginning of our trip and on the way out. Our first room was smallish,...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

“Most people will probably be happier on the 5th floor, but get a close to the office to make sure WiFi works in your room. If you want a quiet room, the 1st floor rooms are like being in a cellar with thick walls (I actually preferred this).”
