Marco was wonderful from the beginning. He answered all my emails promptly and was very helpful in trying to accommondate my family. He has a great personality and really wanted us to have the best time in Rome. I loved the decor of the rooms...they were also very clean and comfortable. Marco helped us navigate the city and also had...

We stayed 3 nights on our way back to the US after a week in Tuscany. The rooms were very clean and Marco was a great host. His English was very good and he helped us navigate around the huge city in such a limited time. Breakfast consisted of delicious croissants, juices and cereals. Marco also recommended two wonderful restaurants...

Our room was very clean and tidy and the room we had breakfast was very cozy and warm. There was a tram stopping right outside the hotel every 5 minutes and taking you to the heart of the city after a mere 3- minute ride! Marco was very polite and accommodating and provided us with extra-useful info on how to...

We were quite proud of ourselves for choosing this B&B for our five days in Rome. It was perfect for us -- large room, clean with contemporary furnishings. Loved the morning cappucinos and cornettos with other guests in the small shared kitchen. Appreciated the convenience of the Trastevere Station (about 1.5 blocks away) and the #8 tram that ends at...

Marco has created a little oasis in Rome for travelers. He sets a tone in his small B&B (only 5 rooms) that fosters a pleasant community among the guests. I stayed at Suites Trastevere for 3 nights at the end of March, and I loved it. I was traveling with my mother, sister and 3 cousins (all women), en route...

The B&B is on the most famous street in Room! You have transportation within footsteps of the Suite, a great pizza place across the street. The room was a little small, but extremely clean & comfortable. Shower and bath was clean and big from what we had experienced elsewhere. When we arrived we had had a very bad experience with...

Marco, the owner, was welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. He recommended and booked excellent restaurants for us, advised on and, where necessary, booked sightseeing trips and told us how to navigate the transport system in Rome. The Mercedes car we hired at the airport on our way in cost €60. The one Marco booked for us back to the...

Staying in Monteverde

Neighbourhood Profile
Monteverde
Above the city on the Janiculum hill, Monteverde is Rome’s popular "getaway" neighbourhood, coveted for its greenery. Rome's largest urban park, Villa Pamphili, is the area's centrepiece with affordable prices and peace and quiet. Monteverde is just far enough away from the centre to feel like you’re on a Roman holiday and close enough to feel the lure of Rome's chaos. Though its downside is the lack of scheduled public transport, this family-oriented area is literally a well-deserved walk in the park.
