My husband and I stayed at the Mario de flora 37 for 2 nights (which we loved) and wanted to stay more so we were “upgraded” to the Margutta 54 for 1 night. All we can say is WOW! The bathtub alone was awesome. The...More

Another great stay. Wonderful rooms and can have breakfast or drinks at Babuino 181. So quiet and ye so close to the Piazza di Spagna etc. Prices are very reasonable given quality/size of room and location. Just booked to return this July. Can't wait.

We did not expect much in the beginning but being classified as a ‘Luxury Hotel’, we felt confident. True enough, upon reaching the hotel premises, it was beyond our expectation. Firstly, it is not a typical hotel w a Concierge and a Registration Desk. You...More

About
Description
Picasso, Puccini and Stravinsky all made Via Margutta their home. Now, you, too, can draw inspiration from Margutta 54, a unique boutique hotel on Rome's most beautiful, atmospheric street, located a stone's throw ...More from the Spanish Steps. To stay at our collection of converted artist's studios, you have to be as "in the know" as a true Roman. So step off of Via Margutta into a private courtyard-a hidden secret on the gallery-lined street. Walk through the gates into a historic palace setting. And know that here, in the shadow of Picasso's studio, you're home. At Margutta 54, rather than a hotel client, you feel like you are living as an authentic Roman. Make yourself comfortable: enjoy the peace of the private courtyard. Indulge in the exclusivity of residing in an historic artist studio. Less

From its original role as ancient army training fields
to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most

Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with

There is someone available to assist guests during business hours. The path to the rooms are covered with lose stones. It gives a good effect which adds to the charm of the place but might be tricky to walk on.
