I absolutely love this hotel, I stayed here in 2010 and again in 2015 and will book here again if I am ever back in Rome. The location is amazing, your approximately 100 meters from Saint Peters and are right by a subway line if you choose the train over walking. The location also has lots of options for eating,...

I book this bed and breakfast just one day before I got to Rome, so I didn't do much research about places to stay in Rome, which I truly regret. I think it would have been much better if I booked a hostel. Actually, everything would be better than this place. When I got to Rome, the surroundings of Termini...

I arrived in Rome with instructions on how to get to the B&B and got lost for 2 hours (partially my fault because I didn't have a map and the instructions on the website were very vague.) When I reached the street it was not there???!!! I was on my own and really fed up by this point (on the...

I spent 3 nights in this B&B with my family and overall it was a very good experience. Our room was clean and spacious and the staff very friendly. Breakfast was not great but OK, and you can use the kitchen if you want to eat your own food during the day, Walking distance from the nearest underground station, safe,...

We arrived mid riot and walked from the station which didnt give us the best impression of the area. Clearly not the best area in Rome but once we were in the buildng we felt safe and it was quiet. Also handy for tube station and some nice places to eat locally. We used it as a place to sleep...

I stayed at the B&B Emanuela for 5 nights in May. The only thing that's good about it is that it's not too far from the metro station Manzoni and therefore you can reach the city center quickly. What's not good about it? 1) It's located near Piazza Vittorio (which is rather dirty and dangerous - you don't want to...

Although we booked 2 bedrooms for 4 persons and they confirmed their availability almost 3 months on advance, we received and e-mail 4 days before the trip informing that there was a problem with our reservation and they had only 1 quadruple bedroom for the first night, so finally we had to sleep in a quadruple 2 couple, and then...

Now I'm not a snob in any shape or form and i'm always on the look out for a bargain. In rome there arent any bargains and hotels cost 150euros up, if you think its a bargain it probably isnt. We booked through late rooms and took all our documentation with us (big tip have proof! of reservation and email...

Stayed here with my partner in Feb 2011 for 3 nights. The room was large and clean, the bathroom was also clean. Had a tv but all foreign channels. Within walking distance of the train station about 5 to 10 minutes walk. If you like walking its about 30 minutes walk to the Colusseum, then you can make you way...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
