Thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay and would definitely book here again, Very friendly staff, air conditioned rooms, beds made every day and a smashing buffet breakfast. Not a purpose built hotel, but 7 rooms that make up the 2nd floor of a typical continental apartment block. This cool, fresh smelling block was a joy to enter after a hard...

The hotel is located in a side street. Near some restaurants and small groceries. Walk to the next hop on hop off bus about 5 minutes. The hotel has an elevator and the rooms are located on the 2nd floor.

Excellent stay. Room clean and well appointed with extremely pleasant and helpful staff. Plenty of choice for the local restaurants which are very reasonable with good food. And your only a few minutes walk from Termini station so very handy for getting around. Would come back again without question.

Valeria organised a taxi from and to the airport for us which was big help. Secure front door to building. I know others have mentioned the area but to be honest we had no issues. Our room overlooked a convent garden. We left behind a rucksack with a much loved teddy bear in a taxi and the owner Valeria made...

The "hotel" itself isn't really a hotel more a serious of apartments in an apartment building but it is clean, the staff are friendly and the room well maintained. Inside it is quiet and feel much more modern than the surrounding. The only issue is the immediate surrounding area, the streets are grubby and a bit shabby with the only...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

“Breakfasts fairly light so you may want to take some snack bars if you are peckish - milk in the communal area after breakfast hours would be helpful if you fancy a cuppa any other time during the day.”
