We stayed five nights during easter. The location is very central at Via del Corso between the the Trevi fountain and Pantheon, walking distance to all there is to see. Several resturants just outside. The hotel has only four rooms making the service very personal. It is three flors up and there is a small lift for one person, but...

Just returned from the best city – Rome! We stayed there 5 nights at La Papessa Guest House in Feb 2012 and it was excellent! First, this B&B has a brilliant location. Most of the main sights are within reasonable walking distance: Colosseum and Forum about a 15 minute walk, the Trevi Fountain about a 5 minute walk, the Panthenon...

We spent 6 nights at La Papessa and just returned home yesterday. When we arrived at 11:00 pm, the owner and his wife greeted us, helped us with our bags and showed us to our room. We were VERY pleased and surprised with their kindness at such a late hour. In the morning, we woke up and went to the...

I recently spent just under a week at La Papessa, which turned out to be a charming and well situated B&B, with equally as charming staff. Overcoming a few minor difficulties with the room- due to my disability, and not the fault of the hotel to be noted - the staff were overly helpful in making my stay an enjoyable...

We enjoyed our stay at La Papessa - the location really could not be any better. The wonderful Pantheon is just 5 minutes walking distance, the Colisseum 15 mins and Trevi Fountain approx 4 mins (go in the evening - the lighting is great). You can't get much more central than La Papessa. It's a great place to stay if you want to be able to walk anywhere in the city. It's a little on the pricey side for a B&B, but you are paying for the location. The rooms are beautifully done, with very high and painted ceilings and little touches like chocolates...

Staying in Trevi

Neighbourhood Profile
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
