We stayed here for three nights in late June. We chose this B&B mainly on its location and proximity to many of Rome’s tourist attractions. The B&B: occupies the third floor of a grand old apartment building (Italians call this a palazzo). It is very new (opened in mid-2009) and is comprised of six rooms and a kitchenette. Free high-speed...

This is a very simple bed and breakfast. Nothing fancy but a place to stay and the price is not too bad. The rooms are nicely updated and clean which is always a plus. The breakfast is again very simple and nothing special. Location is a little out of the way but you are not paying much so that is...

I stayed here for a week in April and again in May the night before I flew out. When I confirmed my late arrival time, Raul arranged for a limousine to meet me at the airport for only slightly more than the cost of a taxi. The room was larger than I'd expected based on other reviews and extremely clean...

Booked Soto and communicated with Raul via email and phone to get specifics on arrival. Assistant, Mario, met me the PM of arrival and gave me the outside door key and magnetic key card to enter apartment door and my specific unit, #4. I also had the opportunity to see unit#1 where my friend stayed. Looks like all 5 units...

Sotto il Sole may not be for you if you want either American style service or Roman style charm. But If you are a knowlegable traveler, Sotto il Sole might be perfect for you! It is located a block or so west of Castel Sant Angelo and Piazza Cavour - so it is lightly outside of Rome's historic center. It...

What my husband and I didn't love was the following: 1. That the magnetic key to get into the B&B and into our room didn't work! After checking in that morning, we arrived at 11:30pm after a FULL day of sightseeing and just wanted to crash - alas, our key didn't work! Because there is no receptionist, we had to...

Not a bad thing to say about Sotto il Sole di Roma. Location is excellent, staff are very helpful and friendly, breakfast is good, room was first-rate. Ten out of ten, would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay in Rome.

I stayed in Sotto il Sole di Roma for one week in November. I can only say all the best about this B & B. This is not a tipical hotel but rather a private apartment on the 3rd floor of a vintage palace. Great location, walking distance to Vatican and downtown area, excellent service by friendly people. We enjoyed...

Fortunately SOTTO IL SOLE DI ROMA did not disappointed our wishes; it s a well equipped guest house wich makes you feel really confortable, rooms are new and very clean and it seems like an high tech place. It s located so close to the most breath taking historical roman monuments and S. Peter is just 5 min away.

This B&B was perfect for my colleagues and I who were traveling to Rome to install and open a major photo exhibition at the Museo Ara Pacis. The location was perfect - a lovely 15 minute walk over the river to the museum. There were nice restaurants and cafes nearby - walking distance to many sights. The building itself that...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
