My Daughter and I stayed here for 5 days and enjoyed every minute. Episcopo Lipinsky has such a unique and welcoming feel that starts as soon as you walk through the big front door off the street into the breathtaking courtyard inside. Walking up the steps you are surrounded by beautiful planting and other apartments then met by the most... More

It was such a pleasure to spend 5 nights at Episcopo Lipinsky. A very private & peaceful residence in the centre of a vibrant city. Being here, you feel so far from the busy city below, with a private entrance, several peaceful roof terraces & comfortable, clean rooms. During a city break it is so lovely to be able to... More

I have stayed in Rome on more than 12 occasions, it is one of my most favorite cities in Europe. Often I stay with friends in the Appia Antica or with my husband in 5 star hotels. This was a trip with my sister who had not been to Rome for 30 years. I agonized over where to stay, I... More

I love hotels in general. That's half the fun of travel. This B&B will stand out as one of the best! Miguel was wonderful! So much so that I wanted to gather up the rest of my family, bring them to Rome to meet my new friend! From the ancient elevator to the incredible view, everything was perfect. No problems... More

We went here for one night and the location is brilliant! The host is also very friendly. However, the wifi quality of this place is poor and I couldn't connect to it after trying many times. For us wifi usage is really important so I'd have to give it a 3 star rating.

I waited with my 71 year old father outside the heavy gates on Via Margutta and phoned Miguel to let us in. Before he arrived, someone walked out so we stepped in. (Note - bring a mobile phone that works!) It's hard to describe this place. I've stayed in a lot of joints in Rome over the years and admit... More

Never mind that the Internet didn't work most of the time. Never mind that we ran out of toilet paper. Never mind that the air conditioner didn't work in the room on the hottest day of the month. And never mind that there were ants in the bathroom. This place is a hidden gem. Nestled in the heart of old... More

This lovely family-run B&B is located on the picturesque Via Margutta, right by the Spanish steps. Like the Lower East Side in NYC, this area used to be the home of artists, but is now pretty posh. The owners' family has been living in this apartment for five generations, and the apartment is located above a gorgeous courtyard - the... More

Great location. We stayed 6 nights at the Circe room. One big bedroom, one big living room. Cozy bathroom. It is a perfect base for your shopping and cultural tour. The owner is very helpful and nice. His dog is so cute.  Definitely will come back.

From the moment you step into the common area of these beautiful homes you begin to feel the magic of Rome. You enter into the elevator and as you travel up to Episcopo Lipinsky you begin to relax. Open the elevator doors and you enter into a charming Old World feeling that captures Rome and why you came here. The rooms... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (21:00), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
