Stayed here 4 nights in January. David is an excellent host who will you assist you and really makes you feel welcome; the rooms are clean and nice. Especially compared to some Hotels I stayed in. The location is perfect, close to shop and the old city centre. We would definitely come back here next time in Rome..

As part of our honeymoon trip, we spent five nights during December 2010 at Gli Scipioni B&B in Rome. We were sold on this B&B after the reviews we had read on tripadvisor. The reviews -- mostly excellent -- definitely turned out to be true! We could not have made a better choice in terms of location (a mere stone's...

I usually go on tripadvisor before i book any hotel/B&B, but honestly, i do sometimes wonder is all the reviews are true. But after my stay here at Gli Scipioni, I'm more than sure that the reviews are all true!! This B&B is great, the rooms were impeccably clean and tidy. Not mention David is the greatest host!! He gave...

My wife and I stayed there 3 nights last June and it was just fantastic. So close to one subway station and to the Vatican! Good restaurant just below Gli Scipioni: don't miss it (good price, good portion, good service!)! We will go back there for sure... but maybe during spring or fall to avoid summer weather that doesn's fit...

Booked a trip for my dad, my sister and her friend to Rome, and was recommended by Tripadvisor to stay at Gli Scipioni B& B. Were they PLEASED! It was in an amazing location, and is just a few minutes walk to St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museum. There is also a convenient Metro Station "Ottaviana" which is just...

This place is amazing! I was lucky to get a room at short notice, it seems to be very popular. I stayed in the red room, which was beautiful, stylish, very comfortable and much bigger than my friend's double room in a four star hotel in the city. The whole place is spotlessly clean and comfortable. I particularly liked the...

Completely refurbished apartment bedrooms located as near as you can to Vatican. Very quiet and good size rooms with posh bathrooms and all the IT's you need. Lovely fully equiped comunal kitchen stacked with drinks and goodies. The Patron is so nice.

My wife and I meet our son in Rome during a break in his college semester. It was our first time to Rome and we couldn't have asked for a better location and room set up. The triple was very spacious and the B&B was very clean. Our host David was extremely helpful and responsive both leading up to the...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
