Excellent! Sumptuous appointments, comfort and luxury! Very friendly helpful staff who went out of their way to make our stay better. Best breakfast of our trip with awesome view! Great location close to colosseum and cafes/restaurants. Can't say enough praise. Wish we could have stayed longer! Only little hard to find but if you find colosseum it's just down the road. Thank you so much!
Other than the tub situation in the Colosseum view rooms (which is a little weird and awkward in the rooms with the tub) this is an awesome hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The public rooms are just as beautiful as the guest rooms and the breakfast was delicious. The location was great. There were many sites and restaurants within walking distance and we always felt safe. This really is the splurge hotel that you deserve.
This hotel has a superlative view and location. Magic can be had on the dinner/breakfast room balcony with mesmerizing views of the Coliseum. The hotel is decorated in tasteful ways one would expect from an extravagant city like Rome. The best part of the experience was the manager Giacomo. He helped us plan every detail of our trip to perfect, as we did several tours of Rome and a day trip to Naples to view works of art by Caravaggio. Rome is a dizzying city where you would never find the hidden Caravaggio or Rafael painting in a maze of churches on your own, so Giacomo's help in booking the tours were indispensable. Come to this hotel if you have good taste and want good service!
My daughter and I weren’t staying at this hotel but decided to came here for a cocktail at the bar and to get a good view of the colosseum. We were advised to be there by 6:10-6:15 before the bar opened at 6:30pm as it is especially busy on a Saturday night. We were seated in a lovely room off the foyer when we arrived just after 6 and once the bar opened, were taken to our seats by the maitre d’. We weren’t in the front row facing the colosseum as others had arrived even earlier but we liked where we were sitting and still had a great view. I ordered the ‘Dutch bubble’ cocktail with a lychee liqueur base and it was gorgeous while my daughter had the pina colada which she enjoyed. Cocktails are around 25 euros each. We were given a number of nice snacks with our drinks. Olives, home made crisps, a miniature burger each, raw fish. These, combined with the attentive service and fabulous view in a prime Rome location, for us made the experience well worth doing. …
Yes, nice location and beautiful hotel...wait for it...But the staff was marginal at best. Not well organized not very friendly and not helpful. The only shinning star at the hotel was the gentleman who checked us in, His name was Raphael and he is the only one that was professional. BTW the breakfast was not really good.
