This perfectly located for a visit in Rome. All the major sights are in walking distance (think Vatican City is the furthest). There are also some nice cafes, and restaurants in the area.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The room itself was clean but all the stuff was getting a bit old or aged and you can see it. Everything works fine tough. I had a double room with a friend and it was a bit weird to have a shower made of glass more or less in the middle of the hotel room. The room-maid did a very decent job and kept our (very spacious!) room clean. There is also breakfast included which I did not have...
All in all a good place but a tad expensive for the quality but an allright price for the location!

We frequently visit Rome. This hotel is an excellent location. Rooms were spotless. Breakfast was really good with a wide range to choose from. Our view was amazing. I had an injury prior to travelling and reception were very accommodating in transferring me to a larger room. Lovely rooftop garden with beautiful view. Very nice jacuzzi balcony also. Staff were so polite and friendly. Will definitely revisit.

I booked this hotel because of the location. It is easy to walk to everywhere and a short bus ride from Termini station with multiple lines stopping here (the #40 bus stops literally at the door). The bathroom had an American size shower which I appreciated, the bed was very comfy, and the room was clean but this building has definitely seen better days. The hallways are EXTREMELY dark so it felt a little sketchy walking to our room and the lighting in the room and bathroom weren't that great either so if you are a girl that needs some decent lighting for makeup I would not recommend staying here. The safe in our room also did not work so before you close the door with your passport in there make sure you can lock and unlock the door while it is still open. There is a large breakfast room and it's a decent start to the day with a large selection of pastries and a handful of other items as well as coffee products like espresso or cappuccino.

We were initially advised that we had breakfast included in the booking but when we arrived we weren’t. I was locked out of my room as the key didn’t work so had to go to reception at approx 2.30am to get a second one (4th floor). We were not informed that there would be street noise which there was and were woken up numerous times throughout the nights by screaming or drunk passers by. The worst thing about the whole trip - we were next to a family with more than 4 very young children in one room. The shower of their room went into our bedroom and we could hear all of the screaming, crying and general noise that children would make through the vent constantly. NOT IMPRESSED. Would not recommend.

Location is convenient to visit the main historical sites. The suite room is nice. Those are the only two positives. The big issue is that they advertise that there is parking nearby and a garage nearby. The BIG issue is that they do not give a ZTL (Zona a Traffico Limitato). That means to reach the hotel area you will end up in getting multiple fines for crossing the ZTL. You cant even temporarily park you car in front of hotel to offload your baggage as there is video surveillance leading to a fine. The hotel never mentioned that. When asked why they dont give relief like other hotels the terrible receptionist just say 'its our policy'. I asked to speak with the manager so I could understand the situation and she simply denied, shrugged her shoulders with the 'too bad for you to get fines' attitude. Her arrogance and unhelpfulness spoiled the whole trip as she simply cant be bothered nor was willing to help. The sour faces in the breakfast room show they dont like to work there with the exception of one waiter who was very friendly. So if you drive, do not book this hotel. If you want friendly service,, do not book this hotel. The only positive is its location but that is not worth the stress you get.

On the plus side, it’s very central so is convenient for tourist visits but it all felt very impersonal and not really like a a hotel - perhaps more of a hostel feel.

The hotel was hard to locate for both us and the taxi driver. Apart from the name etched on a narrow glass door (between 2 cafes) you wouldn’t know it was there. It really needs a sign hanging outside. The entrance was further obscured by scaffolding.
Access is up a narrow corridor to the reception where there is a lift to your room, and that’s it really. All very impersonal.

There is a breakfast room and the breakfasts started off ok but for most of the stay the hot food was lukewarm at best. None of the lids over the food trays were hinged so fell off all the time. Coffee had to be ordered from the waiters and didn’t always arrive.

The building feels like it needs some love and attention. Stepping out of the lift there was a large damp patch in the ceiling where water came through the roof in the corridor outside the bedroom

The glass shower door was detached from its runner and fell onto my husband who was stuck in the shower holding it off him the first time we used it!

The light in the shower didn’t work (fixed) although the 2 lights in the bedroom were flickering and intermittent throughout our stay.

The wardrobe has a weird mirror thing which makes it look like extra wardrobe space, but isn’t. Both of us walked into it upon arrival!

There was no mattress protector on the bed. I found a dirty old sock from a previous visitor on one of the clothes shelf.

The bottled water in the room is charged for although there is no notice to say this. In fact, there was no guest information in the room at all. It just didn’t feel very professional and we were disappointed.

This hotel cancelled us on the same day we should have arrived. Despite booking from NZ in January and confirmed. 5 days prior to arrival we received confirmation and money was taken in full !!
We heard they were overbooked and were able to on sell our room for a higher price?
A totally distressing and unacceptable situation . To add to the insult they have since declined to respond to our polite requests for explanation .

The hotel is in a great location. However it should not be a 4 star hotel. The staff was rude and not welcoming. The breakfast was good but the staff were not friendly. The shower in the room leaks water everywhere because there is no shower door. I’m not sure why the other reviews are good but the hotel seriously needs an update. I would say it should be rated as a 3 star.

Firstly the positives. Location-6 mins from Trevi, 15 to Spanish Steps. Close to open top bus route stop, it's by the main shopping road too. Breakfast-very nice, informal, good pastries and excellent coffee. The young waitresses are really nice. A special thank you to David on Reception. He is very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and a real asset to the hotel. Not so keen on the other two who looked like we were an inconvenience when asking questions/advice.
Room-our room was quite good. Comfortable bed, air conditioning was good, although this might not be the case in peak season. Room was a little dated as was the bathroom, but it did the job. Housekeeping forgot to clean the room one day. David sorted out clean towels and did organise a small discount for the inconvenience.
One lift, very slow, and others have said the hotel is dark and gloomy with ramps and narrow steps so that might be tricky to navigate.
If you want an ideal base to explore Rome, without spending a fortune then this is good place to start. Due to location though, it is noisy. Traffic, car horns, general street noise. I had ear plugs. You may need them if you are a light sleeper.

We recently spent 6 days here and it was excellent! The staff were wonderful, the breakfast was perfect and the location must be one of the best for exploring all of Rome. It is centrally located to all of Rome's areas and is reasonably priced. They arranged transport to and from Airport. The rooms were very adequate, if a little small, but suited our needs perfectly!

This hotel is very cramped on space and I would not stay there with 2 boarder collies, you really need somewhere with a bit more space. Great little hotel, but not for your purpose.
