At the outset, you must know what it is you want or expect whilst booking this hotel. Don't expect to be waited on with room service or other amenities like laundry services. Once you've got that out of the way, you have an excellent property in the heart of Rome that is straight to the point. In other words a...

The location is perfect for walking to tourist sites, public transportation, and decent food. The staff is very professional and ready to provide recommendations and tips. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would be happy to stay there again!

IQ Hotel Roma was a clean modern hotel, which is more aligned with my tastes. The staff was very friendly. I love the size of the room, and it is near the Roma Termini station, but it is out of the way of the general sites, such as the Spanish Steps, Pantheon and Piazza Navona. On the other hand, it...

We chose IQ Hotel based on other reviews and it didn't disappoint us. The hotel was recently renovated, rooms were new and clean, very silent and comfortable. They have a small play area in their roof, a self service laundry operated by coins, microwave available so guests can heat up their meals/ baby food, vending machines with basic toiletries, drinks...

Stayed in a family room for 4 nights. Room was bigger than I was expecting. Simple furnishings which is fine, and close to the metro/train station. Staff were helpful. But I would NOT stay here in any kind of heat as the management needs to address air conditioning in the entire hotel (except the work out room, which was super...

Dear Guest, it is with the outmost concern that we read your review as, our main worry, is the comfort of our guests. The fact that you experienced such a distress during you stay, make us feel like we didn’t accomplished our mission. The recent change in climatic conditions that heavily hit Europe -and especially Rome- has led to a...

Stayed there Mid August 2013. Our room was very clean, modern comfortable and the staff was great. Best of all the room was cool and tranquil in the middle of a 40C heat wave. Great bathroom. The metro is just across the street and there is a fantastic corner street vender on the block with beer, water, wine fruit etc...

I did months and months of research for hotels in Rome. I selected Hotel IQ because it had the services I was looking for and also, primarily, because it has air conditioning. When we arrived and got into our room we thought the AC was broken. We went to the front desk to inquire and to the hotel's credit they...

Located near termini station, walking distance from Trevi fountain and Spanish steps, this modern hotel is a good find. Always clean, inexpensive and convenient. There is an alcohol vending machine and a roof top patio for an early evening drink. Laundry facilities, helpful staff, we would definitely stay there again.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
IQ is a 4-star hotel, with a twist! Located in downtown Rome, just a short 15 minute walk from the Trevi Fountain or the Colosseum and with Repubblica metro station just 200 metres away, hotels don't get much central than this. IQ guests enjoy free Wi-Fi connection throughout the hotel, a lovely terrace where to unwind overlooking the Opera House, and free access to our gym and sauna. We believe in tailor-made hospitality, so there are vending machines in virtually every floor, where you can buy yourself a bottle of wine, a pack of crisps, a tooth-brush or even an umbrella (not that you'll need it often!), All at very competitive prices. Now that you've found us... Welcome to a whole new hotel experience! IQ STAFF ... more   less
