Perfectly located in the center of the Trastevere, Hip Suites is a beautifull little hotel that you will never want to leave ! All in black and white, the hotel is modern, comfortable and quiet. Tomaso, who is very nice and helpfull, will help you book your tickets for the museums and give you great advise on how to plan...

Having visited Rome a few times before we decided to try staying in the Trastevere and give hotels a miss. We are so pleased we did!! It is a divine area with so much character. Our stay at The Hip Suites was the icing on the cake. It is only a few minutes walk from the river, 10minutes walk from...

I came across this hotel on Tripadvisor a couple of days before travelling on a short trip to Rome, taking my North American (I'm British) partner. After the extortionate cost of the other options and the reviews of this hotel, I decided to book here, being a little wary of the distance to the main attractions of Rome, but thinking...

We stayed in Hip suites for 4 nights and liked it a lot. Its a nice modern design, all clean and new, comfortable bed, elegant building, nice shower, lap top with free net in the room, and Tomaso who was really great and very helpful, not over-polite, but just right, professional, but with the style. All the place is nicely...

This is a WONDERFUL little hotel. The rooms are completely stylish and private and the owner, Tomaso, is super nice. The location is also great--not too much in the thick of things that you feel like you're in tourist central the whole time, but just close enough to the action that you can get there in a 5-10 minute walk....

I know that I will sound weird by saying that I am not too fond of Trastevere. Had to stay there during the recent trip and picked HIPSuites because of the location, - right in the very center, - and the fact that it was new. Still not crazy about Trastevere, but very happy about the choice, definitely consider staying...

This place is not a hotel, but an apartment broken up into four different suites, with an office in the middle. It was right in the heart of Trastevere which was great, the junior suite was spacious, but we were left with no remote to our a/c unit which Tomas (the manager) told us he would have "fixed" for us...

My boyfriend and I spent six nights in HIP Suites and couldn't have been happier. The rooms are spacious and so very clean. It's not a huge hotel with tons of people, so you get really personalized service and you feel like you're staying in an apartment or someone's home even. Tomaso was fantastic. He recommended hidden and authentic places...

We enjoyed very much in this hotel! The room was very clean, the explication for visiting the city was very clear to us. The location was excellent: in the neighbourhood of the most important sites of Rome!!The part of Rome-TRASTEVERE- is one of the most beautiful sites! We recommend this address to everyone.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
