Very modern and clean hotel, excellent rooms, good buffet breakfast, but it is desirable to be diversified the hot food part. The staff is very friendly.
The distance from the tourist attractions is a bit long, urban transport must be used. The surrounding area is not very pleasant, some garbage on the streets, dubious people.

This place is so clean! One of the best services ever.
They always come into you room to clean everyday and change your towels or bedspread based on your request. All you gotta do is put your towel on the floor if you want them to be changed. They also offer good breakfast for cheap prices and there are small stores around too where you can grab a quick bite if you wish to. The people are very polite and the fee is worth every penny I paid.

Nice & clean hotel. Looks new. The staff was lovely. Breakfast was good & despite other negative reviews I personally thought it was worth the 7 euros.
The location might not be ideal if you want to be in the "centre-centre", but the tram stop Reti is just a minute away from the hotel. The location also offers the advantage of being nearby local restaurants with real local prices & real local food (as opposed to tourist areas).
I would stay there again.

Me and my partner stayed here for 5 days. The reception staff were very welcoming and friendly. It is a bit out of the way from the centre, I think it was about 30mins walk from most attractions, but there was a bus and tram really close by which was really helpful and cheap. I have seen some reviews say about the noise due to being close to roads. Yes it can get a little bit loud but it wasn't unbearable, although we weren't in a room right near the tram line. We could however hear people right outside our window quite loudly as we were on the ground floor.

I really want to rate this place higher than 3 stars because the room was nice and the bed was super comfy. However it was not clear to us when the cleaners were due to come as your meant to leave your towels on the floor to be cleaned which we did on our second day and nobody came to clean them so we put them back on the hook as they were just wet and dirty on the floor but then every day after that the cleaners came so it was a bit unclear to us. The only real sign of the cleaners coming in was that the bed was made properly. We ran out of toilet paper on the third day and not once did the cleaner give us any more. I had to go and ask for more at reception. We also thought the shower head was in a weird position. It faced the glass and we thought it would have been much better being along side the glass as would have allowed much more room to move in the shower.

The room also has a Smart TV with Sky but we could not use this due to the remote having no batteries. We informed staff of this on the first day and they said they'd fix it. We left to explore for the day, came back and it was still not fixed so we took the remote to reception and asked if they could fix it. It needed a screw driver which they apparently didn't have so they said they'd fix it in the next day and we left the remote with them. The next day we came back to see our remote had returned but it was still not fixed. It was to the point where we were ready to just go and buy our own batteries and screw driver to fix this but we thought why should we? This should have been sorted by them pretty quickly. Baring in mind it was boiling hot outside for 2 of the days so we spent quite a few hours in our room in the afternoon to keep cool and would have really appreciated a TV during this time.

We also ordered breakfast (Open 7-10) with our stay which was pretty good. It had a variety of hot food, cereals, pastries, fruit and yoghurts. The dining room was also nice although can get quite busy around 9:30 but they do have seats elsewhere that you can sit at. There is also a few things you can buy near reception like snacks and drinks.

Overall the hotel was really nice, it was just the service from staff that let it down (Not restocking things in the room and not fixing the TV remote). Apart from this we would recommend it, although next time we would probably look for something a bit closer to the centre of Rome.

The area and transport - As you arrive at the hotel you will notice that the area is very rough/graffiti everywhere, it isn’t in the centre so that was misleading, however it has plenty different options of transport to get you there. It is a two min walk to the tram (Reti) which of is best to take if you want to go to borghese gallery and get off at the bioparco stop which also has a good zoo! If you want to get more into centre without a walk then take the bus, this again is a two minute walk to the stop, (left out the hotel, straight down to the end, left again down some stairs and directly across the street)! The number 71 takes you straight to the trevi fountain which is walking distance to most other main attractions. Both tram and bus were free, couldn’t find where to buy tickets and no one checked either way. The electric scooters are so cheap and fun also, we used these several times to get us around the city and also back home. The termini train station is roughly 15 min walk but we never used this.

The hotel itself- came to the surprise we had to pay city tax when we got there but it was only €4 each per night coming to €32 in total. Super modern and clean, looks very new however as already mentioned a rough area with not too much around it. The room was cleaned every single day which was nice. Staff were very helpful when it came to translating a phone call for our transfer. Felt safe. The bed was comfy, but the walls are thin and you can hear every car/tram/train outside.

The room was very clean, decent sized and looked very new and modern. The TV has YouTube on it and a handle of English channels so that’s how we kept ourselves entertained in the evening. Bathroom was clean and everything worked perfectly. For the price, this was fantastic and I would absolutely stay again. I’m never willing to spend much on hotels because I just see them as a place to crash so usually they’re very basic but it made a nice change to stay somewhere that was so comfortable, clean and modern.

The area looks a little rough around the edges, but the receptionist was lovely and I soon realised that the area was actually, on weekends, kind of a young hipster kind of place - lots of bars nearby! Round the corner is a team stop which can take you anywhere in the city (check google maps for public transport directions) but we just walked to the colosseum/roman forum - only 10 mins away. Lots of shops nearby, so location good.

Very Clean, staff were so helpful especially Laura on the front desk. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

Good location not far from the centre - taxi to Trevor fountain or Spanish steps is only €15-20 or a 40 min walk.

Would definitely stay here again!

Very clean and the most pleasant staff. The breakfast that is served was delicious and affordable at 9.50 Euro. Room service comes in and takes the garbage out and makes your bed every day. They are “Green”, so if you don’t need your fresh towels every day just leave them hanging up on the hooks. I felt safe and secure and had no worries whatsoever. There is a brand new laundromat about seven minutes away - very convenient! Two blocks away was bus #71 that takes you to the Termini Station, which will get you access to the Metro, additional buses, and the trains. I would also recommend buying a 48 hour pass that gives you access to all city buses and the Metro for that duration. There is also a 24 hour pass available if you’re staying for a shorter time. Individual rides are 1.70 Euro each and last for 90 minutes. Best hotel that I stayed at during my trip to Italy!

Hotel was fine. Lots of loud noises all night. Air conditioning was so loud we had to turn it off just to sleep. Beds weren’t the comfiest but not the worst either.

Check in time was very late and we tried to use the automatic check in machine which tried to charge us for the room even though we had fully paid!

Room is fine for a one night stay but for anything longer I’d suggest looking elsewhere.

Location was great, 30 seconds from a tram/bus stop that serviced many of the main attractions, plus lots of lovely little restaurants and snack bars within a 2-5 minute walk (see pics).
There is a supermarket 3 mins down the street, and pharmacy a little further down on the left, opposite a beautiful Church (see pic for idea of location). Pharmacy closed on Sundays, be aware.

The staff at the hotel were absolutely brilliant! Very welcoming and helpful, always had a smile on their face when they saw you.
The room was cosy, and the double bed was extremely comfy!! I want one!

The breakfast was surprisingly varied too! I had croissants, scrambled egg on toast, muffins, yoghurts etc (picture included). and the young lad who attended the breakfast area was again very friendly and a compliment to the hotel.

Extremely good value for money. I loved our stay at Hotel Roma San Lorenzo Termini - it was charming. The area looks rough (graffiti everywhere) but don't be fooled, it is a lovely and safe place to walk around at night and far enough away from tourist-populated areas to give you that authentic Italian experience.

I really miss it already, having been back in Liverpool for a few days now :(
