I bought a particular room on the hotel website, and when I arrived, they assigned me a room that did not look at all like the room I bought. It was pretty outdated and did not meet my expectations. The service was poor. The breakfast and breakfast room were fine.

The Pantheon is so crowded with tourists these days, you may have a hard time crossing the piazza and getting to the hotel's entrance. If this does not deter you, then the Albergo del Sole is quite a reasonable place. The rooms could use some updates, and some of the courtyard facing rooms are a bit dark. Breakfast is ample,...

We chose this hotel mainly due to location since we travelled with two young children and the square in front of the Pantheon provided space for them to enjoy atmosphere away from traffic. Room exceeded our expectations. Though at first skeptical since room was not part of main building, it turned out annex suite was perfect for family with ample...

This hotel is literally footsteps away from the Pantheon. The piazza is busy and pretty, taxis available right outside, restaraunts very close. The staff was friendly (except for one guy at the front desk, but the bell hop and others made up for it). I would definitely stay there again for sight seeing in Rome.

Right on the Piazza with the Pantheon. It is an older hotel but the rooms feel modern, although on the small side. The Piazza is a happening place and always crowded, with the Pantheon, restaurants, shopping. But our room overlooking the Piazza was amazingly quiet. Highly recommended.

Great hotel, good location, and right in the centre for all the main sites and monuments, and also good for restaurants, bars, shops etc... friendly staff, good brekkie buffet, air con rooms.... only downside is a little noisy into the night due to the busyness of the location.

We stayed here for two nights following a cruise. Very classy front office staff and the location was great. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was fine, but the tub/shower was unique. I'm sure trying to get bathrooms to fit in a 400+ year old building must have been quite an undertaking. We hope we're able to stay here...

Very, very nice, the rooms are small but cozy. The hotel is located in an awesome spot and the staff was extremely friendly. Short walk to multiple locations, including Trevi. Would stay again for sure. You can't go wrong.

Old historic hotel......small roooms but you are paying for the amazing view of The Patheon plus the location with several sidewalk bistros/restaurants right out your door! Breakfast buffet was wonderful with large assortment of Danish pastries, croissants, meats, cheese, eggs, fresh fruit, juices, water, espresso, cappuccino & coffee Internet was not so good

Great staff, nice rooms, and one of the best locations in Rome. It's pricey, but if you can swing it you'll love it. It's my 2nd stay there and they take good care of you. The breakfast has great food...some of the best I've found in Italy too.

this is a several part question:

1. We noted on the hotel website that the annex rooms have a shower OR bath... one or the other... can anyone confirm or deny some rooms having one or the other versus both? We are staying for a week with three women, not having a shower head would not be suitable for our needs.

2. We also noted on the hotel website that wifi was available in the lobby but then said in the room description for the annex suites that free wifi was included. Also the reviews for the hotel seem to confirm a lack of wifi.... Can anyone confirm or deny the presence of wifi in the annex rooms as, again, we are staying for a week and I will need access to internet for work.. we will be staying in the annex (due to the number of people in our party).

3. Finally, we were told that we have reserved the room with the balcony in the annex (per our request). According to the hotel this room is the Suite Deluxe room annex... can anyone confirm that the balcony room (apparently there is only one room with a balcony) is in fact the Suite Deluxe annex room? If the balcony room is not the suite deluxe room, what is the name of the room category and/or the room number of that room. I do not want to get to Rome, check in, and find that we are booked in a different room due to miscommunication as it so frequently happens with hotels.

Thank you so much for any help. We cannot seem to find pictures directly corresponding to the names of the rooms which would make choosing a room much easier.

“Getting the Pantheon view is cool but be advised, it's very noisy in the morning while they clean up. You will hear trucks and bottles and stuff being dumped around 6-6:30. In the evening it settles down around 11.”
