This is a wonderful B&B. I can't say enough nice things about Francesco...he was very pleasant, professional and extremely helpful...a fantastic host! The rooms were emacculate and tastefully decorated. The location was great, very nice neighborhood. Walking distance to nice restaurants and the tram. Definitely will stay there again!

What a great place to stay! The location is perfect - away from the tourist crowds but close enough to walk or transit to all the tourist spots. Lots of great restaurants are in this neighbourhood - the restaurant right beside the building is excellent and I met my friends there for dinner. I toured them through "my place" and...

My husband, daughter, cousin & I just stayed at Loggetta di Trastevere last week. We booked both rooms. (There are only two, so it's perfect for a family.) It was my second time staying there, having done so two years ago. I was so happy to be back! It was a treat to see Francesco again & so nice to...

The location of this property couldn't have been better. A 3 block walk to the #8 Tram (1.5 Euro for 100 minutes, or 6 Euro for all day) which dropped us off in the center of the city within 10 minutes. Trastevere was a wonderful area with lots of neighborhood restaurants and an easy walk up the hill to Porta...

Our family had a wonderful week long visit in Rome at Loggetta di Trastevere. The apartment was beautifully decorated, an ideal size for a family and regularly cleaned throughout our stay. Francesco arrived every morning to make the family breakfast, he also helped us make various reservations and provided drinks and snacks throughout our trip. The location was picturesque and...

I had the same thoughts as another reviewer - can all these great reviews be real. They are! Trastevere is a very lively and vibrant neighborhood. The rooms are on the second floor of an apartment building located near bus and tram lines that will take you wherever you need to go. I can't say enough about Francesco. Talk about...

The bed and breakfast we stayed at was perfectly located for the travel we were looking for. We were able to walk to the Coliseum, St. Peter’s Square, and Piazza di Popolo. It was a short walk from the Metro line and if needed cab service was available in minutes. The neighborhood was a combination of residential and commercial so...

I've enjoyed staying at the Loggetta di Trastevere on two separate occasions. The rooms are finished to a high standard and much larger than the average hotel. Breakfast is freshly prepared each day and there is plenty of complimentary water and juices. The Loggetta is located five minutes from the centre of Trastevere and within ten minutes of the Centro...

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
