As soon as we entered the hotel we were greeted by a lovely lady on reception and even though we arrived early they were happy to let us check in. The room was beautifully light and spacious. All the staff we came across in the hotel were helpful, attentive and polite. Nothing was too much to ask for. Hotel is...

We staid here for the final 3 nights of our European Holiday to celebrate 15 years of marriage. We mistakenly believed the positive things we had read on another site. We booked a bigger room - but did not receive it. 24 hours prior to our arrival I contacted the hotel to request an airport transfer (their website advises they...

The location of the Hotel is a 10 minute walk from Termini and is an easy walk to the Metro Lines and all buses. I enjoyed the area I was in and there are some great dining choices especially Trattoria Ristorante - Il Girasole. Simona, Annamadelena, Enzo, Elmer and Mario were wonderful hosts and made me feel so at home;...

A lovely hotel Ideally situated with genuinely attentive staff. Yes our room on the 4th floor was small (no 405) and in hindsight I think we should have spent a little more on a larger one(the term "compact and bijou" comes to mind)..My partner and I are quite big and found the corner shower unit quite challenging at times....The bathroom...

Right off the bat what I loved: Front desk staff is typically Roman -- positive, happy, helpful and very forthright in their dealings. Lobby is beautiful and the hotel is within walking distance of a tourist bus (if you like that kind of thing), great window and clothes shopping, as well as some very good restaurants. You can walk from...

A great hotel on a quiet little street in a great location. I loved this small hotel. The room was a nice size for Europe and the bathroom was very nice. It was the most comfortable bed we had in all of Rome. The staff was so helpful and pleasant all the time. I would definitely recommend this place while...

The Britannia Roma is very centrally located - just off the National Street - and is a heritage property. We had the deluxe room with a private balcony which was awesome however the bathrooms are really cramped and the wc literally is Located below the basin - in my opinion they should have at lest swapped it with the bidet...

We stayed at the Britianna hotel for three nights whilst on a short break to Rome. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. There was wide variety for breakfast each morning and the staff at the restaurant were also helpful. The rooms are slightly on the small side but the room was clean and well maintained....

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
