Hotel Cisterna is a clean, quiet haven in the midst of the historic Trastevere section of Rome. Although not much English is spoken by the staff, they are accommodating and good natured, and will do whatever it takes to meet your needs. Not exactly modern,...More

This hotel is ok, clean and well located in Trastavere. However for the price, our room was small, the breakfeast was simple. The service is acceptable.

The couple who runs the hotel is quite nice. The accommodations are simple, without luxury but do not need anything beyond what was offered. Being in Trastevere is great!

We stayed here for 5 nights and have no complaints at all. The location is perfect, the room was lovely, the staff were helpful and pleasant. A really lovely place to stay and we will stay here again on our next trip to rome.

Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded
postcard, a little worn around the edges but still
charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering
streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and
overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible
mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of
entertainment - a rotating set of street performers
entertains almost every night, and unforgettable
