The Hotel is in a fantastic position. Located around the corner to the Colosseum and 15 mins to the Trevie Fountain. Our room was tiny ( we did only stay one night) There was no water for a shower in the morning. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. Our flight was not until 3 in the afternoon and they...

OK, this might not be your first choice for an extended stay. That said, you cannot imagine how good it feels to come up out of the Forum in the heat and be able to say "Thank God--there's my hotel!" The room was small (can barely manoeuver around with suitcases on floor), and the modern-sparce-red-white-and-black decor is a bit weird,...

This was the first time that we have visited Rome so don't have anything to compare this hotel to. The first point to make would be that the hotel location is fantastic. Only 2 minutes walk to the Colosseum and about 20 mins walk to the centre of town. The street that the hotel is on is lined with restaurants,...

Hotel looks nice from the pictures on the website and it did seem fresh and modern and clean however not very practical (flooding shower like others have reported). We lucked out with a room in a separate area in the courtyard so it was nice and quiet and felt private. You deserve a good breakfast if you can actually find...

We stayed in the Hotel De Rome which turned out to be overlooking the Forum and really in the centre of all the ancient ruins. This was amazing. The hotel however, had been modernised but we found the bathroom which looked very good to be a bit impractical as when one had a shower the whole floor area was flooded...

We stayed in room 102 for 8 nights in May 2013. We were immediately hit by the amazing location of the hotel, it is literally a 2 minute walk to the Colosseum and directly opposite the Roman Forum. As we entered the hotel we were given a very warm welcome from the manager, Fabio. The room wasn't ready yet (it...

This is my first time visiting Europe and especially Rome Italy thus I didn’t have any preconceived expectations. However Hotel de Rome is one of those places that just feel right. The high points are location, quietness, accessibility, comfort, cleanness and of course the adorable staff. It is close to the train station, the Coliseum, the exhibits, restaurants, ATMs, tobacco...

My wife and I arrived Sunday afternoon, having taken the train in from Citavecchia. It was too early to check-in, so off we went. That afternoon, we saw the Colisseum, Forum, Trevi fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, and a myriad of churches and ruins not even on our map. The location is what this hotel has to offer, and as we...

+ Fantastic location: walking distance from the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Capitoline Hill attractions and museums. A little further are the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and Campo di Fiori but we still walked there without breaking a sweat. Nearest Metro is Colosseo.
