Stayed here for 3 nights in August, regretted every minute of it. We paid close to $300CAD per night for our stay at this hotel, not worth it! The rooms have very old carpeting, rock hard beds and stained furniture, very dated, not at all what the photos on the website indicate. My 11 year old had a single sofa...

This hotel is located near the train station and the underground station. Quiet and comfortable, but not very cheap. I had an internal room with a window on the courtyard, the view wasn't beautiful, but room was very quiet. Minibar was expensive. The rest was ok.

The hotel is located just 2 minutes from the main train station (with regular service to/from the airport) and a major bus hub - so it is perfectly located for exploring Rome on foot, or via public (or tourist) bus. We stayed in 2 deluxe rooms (one double and one twin) and they were both unusually spacious and quiet -...

I was there this summer for 2 days for a cruise that I was taking from the port of civitavecchia and I stayed at this hotel because of a friend wanted free wi-fi. The property is very nice and on a nice quiet street near termini station. The hotel was very clean and the room very spacious. I loved the...

Lovely hotel conveniently located two minutes from the termini. We were upgrraded to a deluxe room on arrival. Our room was on the 2nd floor (220) and was very nice, spacious and clean. Excellent maid service. Only negative was that at about 6am every morning there was a lot of banging and noise (perhaps as cleaning started?!) which was a...

This was my first visit to Rome and I can say that I was disappointed with the staff at the front desk of this Hotel, I felt that they could have been more friendly and anything that I asked them was an inconvenience. While the position of the hotel is handy to the Termini, and the breakfast was well catered...

Booked through Travel Republic in July 2012 after cancellation of holiday by local company (lack of numbers so not viable) Standard room with breakfast included. Arrived at 13.30h, advised room ready for 14.00----not available until 15.30. Room on 1st floor, clean and very quiet throughout stay. Replenishment of bathroom equipment variable, one day no towels etc. at all, but replaced...

We stayed here for 4 nights from 9th August when Rome was extremely hot! The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful and efficiently checked us into our room on the first floor. Whilst unpacking I noticed that the ceiling in the bathroom had water coming through it and rang down to reception who sent someone up immediately....

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
