This hotel has excellent food and wine and most of all a superb 'family' welcome. The room was clean and extremely smart, serving all our needs. The staff were confident and engaged with us in a genuine, warm and confident way. We often felt we wanted to come back there early, and so ate most of our meals there. The...

We stayed at the Napoleon Hotel for a week. This was one of the few hotels we have been to, were we totally mattered and were not mere a number. All the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome, comfortable and help in every way. They are the true meaning of customer service! Apart from having...

We have stayed for 3 nights in March 2017, and we were quire satisfied. Rooms: The room was of a good size compared to European hotels, and very clean. Bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was ok, although shower was quite small and i can imagine a slightly big person will have trouble having a shower. We never had any...

The staff were all extremely attentive and helpful. They really went above and beyond in the costumer service dept. The hotel it's self has a little bit of a older boutique feel but has been kept up very well. The beds were the most comfortable out of all the hotels we stayed at and they had nice little extras like...

Stayed 4 nights and we were very glad we stayed here. Can't imagine a better value in a hotel in a major city. Location: Getting to the hotel from the airport was a breeze, a 4 euro bus trip taking 45 minutes to the Termini station followed by a 5 minute walk to the hotel. If its raining you can...

This was the first time we visited Italy, new to Rome city and the hotel was superb at taking care of our needs. Superb customer service, always there to help with a smile and going beyond that extra effort to make our stay brilliant. Big thank you to Franco for providing us with a Rome map highlighting top sights to...

A lovely hotel in a very convenient location- entrance to metro is literally a few steps away. 10 minutes walk to the Colosseum and some nice restaurants to eat in the area. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful- happy to help with suggestions for places to eat etc. A good place to base yourself in Rome.

What can I say....what a hotel! We arrived on the Sunday morning (12th February 2017) and the flight was early, but the hotel had their driver waiting at the airport to take us to the napoleon, not expecting our room to be ready as it was around 11am, we were met at the hotel door and welcomed to this really...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
