We stayed here for 3 nights in May and were extremely pleased with our choice. The hotel is located very close to the termini station which is great to access the metro and also to coach direct to the airport (would highly recommend this option as 6 euros each person and hassle free). Back to the hotel, the staff are...

Stayed last weekend for two nights with some girlfriends. Hotel came in a British Airways city break package and was great value. We all found the hotel clean, comfy and in a good location, close to main train, bus and metro stations and plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much bother....

We have just returned from 5 days in Rome which we booked through British Airways and that included Hotel Morgana because we had checked the reviews and they read pretty good....we were not disappointed. We HIGHLY recommend this hotel, the accommodation , the staff , the food ALL amazing. Great service. It's a 3 min walk from main station ( metro) called Termini. From airport the Leonardo Express is €14 & takes 25 min. Pay less on regular train but longer journey & a lot more by taxi. The Metro is VERY easy to...

Hotel Morgana is conveniently located near the Roma Termini train station, but the surrounding area didn't feel like the cleanest or safest when compared to the rest of the city. If you can, stay in Trastevere, which had a lot more character and seemed safer. However, we had easy access to the metro to get across the city. Breakfast spread...

We visited from the 29th of April until the 3rd of may 2017 and had never been in Italy previously. We found the staff warm and very welcoming and the facilities were just what we needed. Our room was a little smaller than we would normally have but was perfectly sufficient. It was clean and the bed comfortable. It was...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
