We stayed at the Morgan's from 16th to 19th Jan and found the hotel to be very clean and well decorated. The staff were brilliant, especially the waitress at breakfast. The cappuccino's were lovely by the way. Would stay here again despite slightly dodgy area. Not sure next door massage parlour was very classy!

We stayed here to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday and were delighted with the hotel. We had a B&B booking and found the room cosy clean and stylish and the breakfast really good. The staff here couldn't be more helpful and we would stay here again without hesitation. It doesn't have a restaurant (it just serves the fabulous continental breakfast)...

The most important comment is that if we are fortunate enough to return to Rome, would my family and I like to stay again at Hotel Morgana. The answer would be a definite YES. We (my wife, daughter & I) stayed at Hotel Morgana between the 28th December 2016 and the 3rd January 2017. What stood out most was how...

This 4* hotel is situated five minutes from Termini, Rome's main transport hub. Having massage parlours each side didn't affect the high quality of the hotel nor did we feel troubled when walking at night to the excellent local Roman trattorias, two of which were recommended by the hotel. Despite its location it was very quiet at night, though remember...

As others have already said, this hotel is a delight. We stayed for 3 nights in early January. A street away from the train station and close to some great restaurants. Each morning after a tasty breakfast we headed off to see the sights. We had an executive room, super comfy bed and lovely en suite bathroom stacked with products....

Visited this Hotel as part of our holiday to Rome, which was a birthday treat for myself and my wife for our 60th Birthdays. The hotel was ideally placed, near the main railway station, and within walking distance of the main attractions. The reception staff were very welcoming and offered lots for advice on how to get around the city...

Cannot really fault the Morgana as we had such a wonderful stay! The hotel staff will go out of their way to ensure your stay is a memorable one. The hotel is located very close to the main train station; do not bother trying to get taxi from airport as this will take longer than the train option ! The...

Myself and my husband booked an executive room for over new year. It was great, included soft drinks and water in the mini fridge each day. The staff were so helpful and really looked after us. The rooms aren't sound proof, heard many discussions and things from the corridor but didn't really bother us. Breakfast was ok, plenty of choice....

The staff were outstanding and the breakfast was bountiful and delicious. The room was small and comfortable. Complimentary mini-bar (water and soda) was restocked each day and was a nice convenience. The heat is centrally controlled and we had to open our window at night to cool off the room. Outside noise and the late night garbage truck made sleeping...

Location & hot breakfast was fantastic, but the staff was over the top! We had a city/street view which was very nice, but very noisy & warm (for winter). The staff moved us in the middle of the night (midnite) & then upgraded us the next day when a nicer room became available. The upgrade was actually a mini-suite which...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
