Stayed at this Hotel beginning 2016 and had an overall good experience. Lovely rooms, friendly staff complimentary Bloody Mary for breakfast :-) one negative : as a SPG Platinum member hoped for a Suite upgrade, supposedly all occupied. After checking on the website there were some available.

Dear Mteipel, Thank you for sharing your experience. It is lovely that you still hold a positive memory after one year, despite the fact that we have not been able to recognize your SPG Platinum status by upgrading your accommodation to a suite. It would be difficult now to verify the booking status but it is quite common that changes...

The services was exceptional and we relaxed there. The remodeling was almost finished in the lobby. We ate breakfast and drinks in the evening. The room was large and good bathroom. I would go back anytime. We were there during Christmas.

In the heart of downtown, few meters from Eataly, five minutes walking to the Mercato Centrale at Termini and ten minutes from Fontana di Trevi. The building is breathtaking, there is an 19th century old iron elevator that is still working which takes you back in time. The staff is very professional and friendly. I have been to this hotel...

Dear AVDesign, Thank you for recognizing our efforts to create a memorable experience and for highlighting the original 1894 lift or "rising room" as it used to be called, registered as the 13th modern elevator of the era in Rome We are delighted that you felt spoiled by the butler team and you found Gianluca attentive to your personal needs...

The St Regis Rome is out of novel that takes place in Rome in the 1920's The hotel is kept well and has beautiful collection of antiques. Our room was stunning with every detail to be marveled. The staff was as expected in a St Regis. The neighborhood is great because it is within walking distance to the sites in...

Not all the photos on their website have been updated! The St. Regis is located about a 10 minute walk to the Spanish Steps. When visiting Rome we have always stayed and vrbo's or hotels near Piazza Navona. This time we stayed at the St. Regis because of work and we loved it! The hotel is going thru a major...

St. Regis Rome Hotel is an elegant luxury hotel with classic rooms and modern amenities. The services provided by the hotel's staff members ranging from reception desk, concierge desk, house keeping department, door greeting team and restaurant/bar restaurant to business office were all superb during our 10-day stay in October 2016 and 6-day stay in December 2016. We visited the Hotel St Regis in August 2016 to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. The hotel has been known as the Grand Hotel in a former life and this is visible from the street outside as a throwback to a former time. Grand is certainly a word that can be used to describe this hotel, although the main entrance...

The hotel is under-going a construction project that is listed on their website. For us this meant the registration area was in a temporary area and the restaurant was in their ballroom/conference area. But that didn't stop them from having a great breakfast spread, made-to-order egg station, and to serve dinner.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
