We were very impressed with this hotel. It's not a luxury hotel, by any means, but it was comfortable and just what we needed. The hotel was nicely decorated, and the room was cleaned daily very well. The large king bed was fine to sleep on; the walls are just very thin so I always felt like I was sleeping...

The hotel is not as close to the station, specially if you are carrying luggage. The hotel did not really have the amenities to call it a 4 star property, specially in terms of the space it offered. The hospitality was fine.A restaurant by the name of Florians was close to it and had some amazing Margarheta Pizza which was paradise...

We stayed at the Artdeco for one night before an Eastern Mediterranean Cruise. The front desk was very accommodating in getting us a room early in the day (our overnight flight arrived early in the morning). The included buffet breakfast was hard to beat boasting a variety of sweetbreads, eggs cooked to order and great coffee. The room was well...

I was (as ever!) slightly worried to read some negative reviews about this hotel just prior to our visit. We need not have worried at all. The cinema previously mentioned was not visible from the side of the hotel we were in, and was only noticed as I made a point of looking for it. (not to use ha-ha!) The...

It was an average price, near the terminal station,5 minute walk, there is also a metro station not too far away as well, the Citysightseeing Rome tour also start near...

Trip to Rome was terrible because of this hotel. 1st day I had pasta and clams at this hotel (the only thing I ate) & was sick within a couple of hours. It lasted 6 days, two trips to the pharmacy & a trip to the emergency room as soon as I returned home. It was located next to a...

I booked this hotel after reading reviews from trip advisor. I did not feel it was a great location to visit all the attractions as it was too far out and I love walking! Yes it is fairly near the Termini but you do get alot of hassle there. The beds were not comfortable - too hard. The hot breakfast...

I stayed at The Art Deco for 10 nights with my wife. This hotel is wonderful. The staff was attentive respectful professional as well as personable. Any special needs we had were addressed to more than our expectations. I can clearly say the staff at the hotel was happy to have us as guests and knew what the word hospitality...

Although the hotel rooms have everyhting you need the staff and service they provide does not make it worth staying here. It is not convenient to any major tourist spots except the Termini and there you are just harrassed non stop. The front desk made sure that you knew you were an inconvenience and bothering them. The breakfast was terrible....

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
