We had stayed at this hotel as part of our honeymoon over 20 years ago and were therefore slightly apprehensive about going back as we didn't want to spoil any happy memories. We should not have worried. It's still a charming hotel which puts total focus on service. The staff could not be more helpful whether it was breakfast, reception...

This is an excellent hotel in top prime location. Most of its rooms have gone through extensive renovation. Personnel is professional and helpful but the top asset here is the morning breakfast, especially taken on the terrace on a sunny morning.

A one night stay isn’t enough to assess all an hotel in any depth but we enjoyed what we encountered. The Majestic is a relatively small hotel, with a splendid location on the Via Veneto close to the Piazza Barberini and it’s thus an excellent base, especially for tourists. The architecture and décor are classic luxe, although the public area...

In Italy it is common for hotels to not use the AC in the entire building for months of the year. They say it's based on the weather, but it seems more like a frugal way of keeping costs down. This doesn't work well when temperatures are up, or when your room is above a loud busy street, like Via...

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful five-night stay at the Majestic in mid-March. The staff at this hotel is outstanding. They are genuine, helpful, and capable. Every hotel employee we had contact with provided excellent service. There was always someone available to help us; we never had to wait for more than a couple of minutes for anything. We...

Perfect location, in the heart of Rome yet away from the crowds. Friendly, helpful staff. Rooms are spacious and very clean with ample closet space. Our room had 2 doors, so even though it was located very close to the front desk, it was always quiet and peaceful. The breakfast buffet was served in an opulent dining room with a...

Wonderfully helpful staff started out by helping negotiate a package being sent from US to Italy. Without them navigating customs, we may never have received the item. The Concierge staff is most helpful in arranging dinners ranging from a nearby pizzeria to a higher end Ristorante. The hotel is truly in walking distance from much of the 'top ten' list...

Situated in the legendary street Via Veneto, this hotel offers you everything you need to feel comfortable and well accommodated. Service, food, rooms was very good, the atmosphere was stylish and luxury. If you cant stay there for at least one night, then go there and take a coffee of the lovely terrace.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Majestic Roma embraces its neoclassical heritage by reinventing it for the 21st century and offering guests the chance to step into a one of the city's most glamorous residences. The hotel is an original combination of styles, a study in careful contradictions that juxtaposes white lacquered pieces of furniture, rich textures and the extraordinary use of color to evoke an emotional response from all who visit. Rooms and suites show a gentle use of simple lines and almost imperceptible curves, creating a perfect blend of innovative setup style combined with classic elegance. The hotel Majestic Roma is located directly on Via Veneto, few steps from Villa Borghese, the second largest landscape garden in the naturalistic English manner in Rome. Walking distance to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and city's finest boutiques. Convenient to enjoy museums, theatre, nightlife, restaurants and to reach the financial center. ... more   less
