We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights during the heatwave. The hotel is clean, nice decorated room with air conditioning which was needed as it was so hot outside. The staff were friendly and the views from the terrace was beautiful, we did have a drink at night on the terrace - lovely but found the music a bit...

We stayed here for five nights during the recent heatwave. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and has everything you would require for a short stay. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast on roof garden perfect although after day1 sought the coolness of inside area.We used the bus service to get around which can be accessed close to the hotel...

We had a wonderful stay at the Marcella Royal! Allesandro was especially helpful in suggesting restaurants and guided us during our stay. Our room was clean, beautifully decorated and had a spectacular view of the city.

The hotel itself was lovely however quite a trek from anywhere and a limited amount of restaurants close by. Hotel claimed 20 minutes to Trevi Fountain however it is more like 30-40 minutes and uphill on the way back. Hoppa bus was good but if you can, and are flying Easyjet then make sure you buy your tickets on the...

If you can get past the decor, this is comfortable hotel. It is odd but not old or shabby. After a very pleasant welcome & the help of the smiliest of porters we reached a room I thought I would hate. Perhaps it was his disarming demo of the windows & shutters that stopped me complaining. The 'view' was an...

Booked this hotel based on some reviews on this site and I am glad to say that we do not regret it. The hotel is fantastic, well maintained, tidy and clean. The staff were so helpfull and friendly, they couldn't do enough for us. There is a lovely roof terrace for breakfast and doubles as a bar area. Staff and...

We stayed here for 4 nights and would thoroughly recommend this hotel. The view from the breakfast room was absolutely amazing. The food on offer was varied and good quality. The staff were helpful, even during busy times. The hotel was within walking distance of every attraction Rome had to offer. The hotel is not situated in the busy part...

Nice hotel in very central location: 10 minutes walk from Termini or Piazza Repubblica metro station, 20 minutes from Trevi fountain and many other tourist attractions. The rooftop terrace is beautiful, so you can really enjoy your breakfast (which is big but not very good). Don't expect it to bee a luxury 4* hotel: the rooms are small and the...

Lovely hotel, clean and then cleaned well each day, good sizes room with a lovely comfy bed. Terraced bar at the roof is a lovely way to start the day with a good choice for breakfast or have a drink on an evening watching the sun set . The hotel is a five minute walk to Piazza Repubblica with some...

Half way through our 10 day stay at the Marcela Royal Hotel, and I am happy to say it is a pleasure to be staying here. A great location within walking distance to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. Taxis to the Colosseum and Varican City are no more than 10 Euros each. Staff at the Marcella are very...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
