This was not a very nice hotel. The service was absolutely terrible and the people working at the hotel were very annoying and didn’t take us seriously.

To start, I will say that the breakfast was decent. Despite there being limited options, it was the best part of the hotel by far.

The rooms were not very good. However, since we were a very large sports team, I didn’t expect something very good. That being said, there were two or three people that got massive suites and the rest of us got small-sized rooms. They were decent but a bit cramped.

The reason that I am giving this hotel such a bad review is because one of the people I was with actually found *used* boys underwear in their room. It was definitely not theirs, and they had been the last people in their room before the cleaners came. When we told the front desk, the person working there told us that it was probably a prank. However, no one was in the room and no one could’ve gotten into the room before we returned to the hotel.

Overall, I would not recommend this hotel and I would never come back.

This is a nice small hotel in an excellent location - you can stroll down to the Spanish Steps or the nearby park in 5 minutes, and we easily walked to all the most popular sights with the kids. The staff were excellent, the public rooms were pleasant, there was good A/C and the rooftop breakfast room was particularly nice, with panoramic views over Rome to the Vatican. The breakfast was also very good. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that our rooms (and the bathrooms in particular) were dated and in need of a bit of a refurbishment - that would have made it perfect.

Negatives first, bathroom shower leaked, not enough working power points, bar never open more of an ornament, breakfast not worth getting up for
Positives, nice area, lovely view from breakfast room, mini bar in room reasonably priced, staff very helpful and pleasant. Area Villa Borghese is lovely with some nice hotels and restaurants, although we had the worst Chinese meal ever in the Mandarin Chow Restaurant avoid at all costs, expensive, inedible rip off. We enjoyed our break in Rome saw all the sights be ready for plenty walking sore feet but great memories

Poor breakfast, old style and far from center.
Don't let your bag, if you have many small bills, in the room while you go to breakfast! Someone who had acces în the room, stoled 60 euros în a day, and 20 next day, in 30 minutes while I was to have breakfast. First time I thought I lost that money, but next day I made a test and its happened again.
I told about that to reception, I emaild to management. No reaction, no apologize.
Be carrefull!

Myself and a friend stayed here as part of our Air Canada Vacations trip to Italy. The room was not clean, the shower had lots of mold, no air conditioning, uncomfortable beds, wall to wall dirty carpeting. The location of the hotel also is not great, far from the city central.

I would caution anyone from staying here; after a day exploring Rome you would like to have a room that you could come back to relax in, but everything about this hotel was just very uncomfortable and unclean.

Cleanliness is key for us, and this hotel was by far the worst place we had ever stayed in.

We actually would have left the hotel for another had it not been part of our Air Canada Vacations booking, as we had no option and had to stay there since it was part of the travel package.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at Hotel Eliseo in Rome. During our 4night-stay, I unfortunately lost a pair of brand new shoes on our last night of stay worth 595 euros which I bought in Rinascente Mall walking distance from this hotel. Despite immediately reporting the incident to the front desk upon realizing the loss, I was met with apathy and unhelpful attitudes from the staff on duty. Their lack of concern and empathy towards my situation was disheartening, to say the least.

What was even more concerning was the evident lack of adequate security measures in place at this supposedly reputable hotel. There were no CCTV cameras anywhere inside the hotel- hallways, reception, common areas. As a guest, one would reasonably assume that their valuable possessions are safe and secure within the confines of their room. However, this was not the case during my stay. I would have expected a hotel of this caliber to take swift and appropriate action to address the incident and undertake a thorough investigation. Regrettably, no such efforts were made, leaving me with no resolution or peace of mind regarding my lost. It is essential for a hotel to prioritize the safety and satisfaction of its guests, and unfortunately, Hotel Eliseo failed to fulfill this basic responsibility.

The experience was really bad, everyday they were supposed to clean the rooms but instead the rooms were dirty and our towels were not changed meaning we were showering with the same towels for a week. Also I would like to mention that the prices were too expensive for the bad services provided. Also one of my friends found two cigarette pockets left by the previous guests.

We were immediately met with rudeness when our family walked in the doors. We were instructed not to sit with our luggage but head to the elevators when we were not even checked in. I had a paper voucher from my travel agent for check in. I presented it to check in it was slung across the counter and we were told to just present passports. I asked to speak with a manager who didn’t speak English. I was then handed a phone to speak with another person who did speak English but who said it was a misunderstanding they thought we were checking out. How could that be when they saw us get out of our taxi with luggage to check in. When we finally got to our rooms there was garbage in the hallways as well as dated bedding and our room was not cooled. Wallpaper peeling on the walls. This hotel should not be rated 4 stars. The worst experience ever and we immediately checked out and went to another hotel. The front desk clerk offered to call us a taxi for 5 with luggage to which 4 small taxis showed and left. I will say it is in a good location but that’s the only good thing I have to say about it. Also, my sons door wouldn’t lock in his room.

Upon arriving the receptionist was very rude and the room was not clean (depsite arriving at 4pm). Upon challenging this i received no apology and was simply told that i would need to wait. I never write reviews but the manner in which i was spoken to was highly disappointing

El hotel Eliso es del siglo XVII, si quieres vivir esa época este es tu hotel, mál olor, viejo en una buena ubicación y con una terraza estupenda para desayunar. Creo que debería tener 3 estrellas como mucho.

The Eliso hotel is from the 17th century, if you want to live that time this is your hotel, bad smell, old in a good location and with a great terrace for breakfast. I think it should have 3 stars at most.
