Reservation info was incorrect upon arrival, tried to charge me again once the correct dates were sorted (it had been prepaid). Room type wasn't right. Housekeeping was sent to check our room (for no reason) at night and entered without knocking. Front desk just made up a reason why he had sent the housekeeper. We felt VERY uncomfortable after that. Room was small and walls were fabric, smoke smell from prior guests is VERY prominent. Hotel is a minimum 3km walk to any point of interest. So if you aren't a walker be prepared for taxi costs. Room was clean (but smoky) upon arrival. Hot water was unpredictable in the shower. Water pressure was ok but not great.

Quiet hotel in mainly residential area. Very comfortable. About 3 miles from centre
Only downside is limited restaurants in immediate area
But for a noisy city this hotel is quiet. Minimum word count means I have to write some meaningless words here

I read some of the negative reviews on this Hotel and was somewhat dismayed as I had already booked and paid for my stay. Perhaps that was a good thing, as it turned out to be a pleasant stay. Tea, Coffee making facilities are available for free upon request, ask at reception before heading for your room.

Room was cleaned each day, fresh towels etc. Breakfast was basic with some weird cracker bread, croissants, cornflakes, tea coffee etc. All room amenities were in working order ie shower bath etc.

Most staff were helpful speaking to me in English as I didn't know one word of Italian. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone. The only negative...... the walls are far from sound proofed, so if you are going there for a Romantic weekend well lets just say, be careful otherwise the rest of the Hotel will hear you. Even worse you may end up having to listen to others if you catch my drift.

There is a Metro 10 mins walk from Hotel "Euclide" by turning right out of the Hotel, right and then right again walk down to the end of this road cross over the road and left (for about 20 feet) then take right about 50 feet takes you to Euclide station. You can buy an all day Ticket for 4 Euros, which allows you on Metro, Bus and Tram as often as you like.

The Vatican, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Colosseum etc are all only Metro stops away from each other. Rome is a great place to visit.

REMEMBER LIKE ALL MAJOR CITIES HAVE A DEATH GRIP ON YOUR PURSE WALLET CAMERA ETC, especially when travelling on the Metro, the busier the train is (people squashed against each other) the greater the risk of being pick-pocketed. THEY WORK IN GROUPS!!!!. I almost lost my camera to some female who managed to get the zip opened on the camera case and get her hand on the camera. Luckily the train jerked and moved her away from me and I could then see what was going on. DONT LET THIS WORRY YOU, you'll have a great time just be VIGILANT.

We were pleasantly surprised by how quickly we were able to check in and find our room. The room was beautifully furnished with a bathroom including bath and bidet. We even had a lovely balcony with a view of a flowering bougainvillea.
Hotel Rivoli is in a cull de sac in the northern part of Rome and is quiet.
When we arrived we had a late lunch at Nomad, a restaurant close to and associated with Hotel Rivoli
We stayed over Christmas and had not realised that Rome would be all but closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. With the help of the receptionist we found superb places for lunch on both days and within easy walking distance of the Hotel.
The buffet breakfast offered continental and scrambled eggs and bacon with a selection of fruit and cereals to start and even some chocolate cakes for those not on a diet. The coffee was really good.
The walls of the public areas had lots of interesting old paintings and murals. There were also several statues too.
Whenever we wanted to go somewhere, reception called a taxi which arrived very quickly. We were pleasantly surprised by the reasonable cost of the taxis and that made the centre of the old city easily accessible which was lucky because the buses and trams seemed to be operating a reduced service because of Christmas.
All in all, Hotel Rivoli is a lovely place to stay. We enjoyed the Hotel, the City and the Food. We would love to be able to return to see more of the Eternal City.

We found hotel to be very good in value for the amenities, a nice selection of breakfast items in served in a nice room for 10 euro. Rooms are well appointed, bathroom w/great large showers. If you wish to watch TV in English language check to make sure their cable network has been updated! The location is within 10-15 min taxi ride from all sights to see in Rome, plus very near the Borghese gardens. There are delicious restaurants located short walking distance from Rivoli, the hotel premises also offers a nice outside area to enjoy coffee/drinks, etc.

The room was nice. Comfortable bed. The stuff was fery helpful, very accommodating. They cleaned our room every day. The breakfast was very nice for only 5 euros, you couldn't find anywhere else for that money.
The thing was unhappy about was the quality of the internet which was poor.
Very happy with everything bar the internet.

This isn't my usual way to go about things, but I feel anyone considering staying at this hotel should know who they are dealing with, so I made an account. My wife and I booked two weeks at what seemed to be a nice, quaint, and reasonably-priced hotel in a quiet part of town. Unfortunately, we arrived a few days late from our originally anticipated date (7/14). When we finally did arrive and get checked in on 7/17, we found out that my wife's relative had passed away. In full disclosure, we booked with Hotwire, so sometimes the rates can be notoriously difficult to refund. After informing the front desk staff as we headed back to the airport on 7/18, they simply responded that there could be no refund, and that I needed to take it up with Hotwire. Now the interesting part is that Hotwire was entirely willing to refund, and simply needed the permission of the hotel. The hotel refused to provide Hotwire with the actual date of check in/check out, and outright refused a refund when they told me it was a Hotwire concern. Long story short, I paid over $2,000 to book the itinerary, with nothing to show. I would encourage anyone looking to book with this hotel seriously consider that life does happen, and to ensure that the place is filled with human beings (however you book). I am attaching the screenshots from my conversation with Hotwire for reference.

I received very good communication from the hotel staff regarding my trip organisation including details of how to arrive by public transport. On arrival my room was perfectly clean with all I needed for a conference stay including a desk. Breakfast was wide ranging including gluten free options and staff were very polite. The reception staff were particularly friendly and helpful. The location was also excellent and well positioned for my event. I felt very comfortable and enjoyed my stay.

Location is in a residential area far from centre, no food places nearby at all, buses good 6-20 minute uphill walk!
Mattress was hard and really uncomfortable!
Wouldn’t stay at this hotel again ever if it was free!!!

Had a bad experience our final night, don’t know if it’s his real name or not,… “roberto” ( heavy set old man) threatened and harassed us outside where our taxi was waiting for us at 3:30AM all because I had asked what his name was. Already late for the airport and we had to deal with being shouted and threatened at, thank god for the taxi driver who intervened.
Extremely unprofessional behaviour!!
God forbid you get sick and need help here, I kept having to ask this employee only one there at night for a blanket only yo be ignored because he was too busy having a conversation with another male guest in his language. If you speak Italian and are make then you get special treatment but if your females and only speak English here then it’s a different attitude!

Stayed 5 nights. Rooms were spacious and clean. The ladies came in every day. The front of house staff and bar/breakfast room staff were polite, and very friendly. breakfast was fresh and very varied something for everyone. A great location for visiting all the sights. A good walk every day and a taxi ride home. It will be our go to place, should we return to Rome.
