Location - excellent. Near the colosseum and walking distance to Cavour station!
Staff - very friendly and helpful
Breakfast - very average. Basic and fresh.

While the room was small, all hotels in Europe will be unless you pay an arm and a leg. Our first night we had no problems at all and breakfast the following morning was very nice. The second night we got back from a long...More

We regret to read such a disappointment in your review, starting from your general opinion about Europe: there is no difference in the idea of "space" wherever you are in the world, we all think that "wide" means "room enough", so the difference...More
A stone's throw away from the Colosseum (which by the way is the most awesome place on this planet) and right next to the Cavour Metro Station (for easy access to/from FCO Airport), Duca D'Alba Hotel was a pretty decent place. It was within walking...More
Having this be the last stop of our European Honeymoon, we had already experienced small quaint rooms all throughout Europe, so we weren't expecting this would be any different and were very satisfied with everywhere we stayed previous to the Duca D'Alba... What we got...More

we are sorry for the very bad experience you had in Rome, we read your feedback and we have difficulty in recognizing Duca d'Alba Hotel in your words. We are so surprised that we can simply say that Hotel Duca d'Alba is not...More
This is a small, cute hotel. Rooms are small but comfortable enough. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. Location is near Termini station, restaurants, pubs, metro station and the Colosseum. We found breakfast time always crowded therefore uncomfortable. One day they had to re-arrange the...More
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighbourhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighbourhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at
Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.

We have only stayed in the so-called "standard" quarters. I believe that the annex is a separate entrance about 10 paces from entrance to the lobby so that a brief outdoor exposure is involved in getting to breakfast, etc. I have not seen the rooms in the annex so cannot comment on any comparisons.
