The Doubletree by Hilton Rome Monti is lauded for its prime location, allowing easy exploration of Rome's attractions on foot, and for maintaining clean and modern rooms. Guests have enjoyed the comprehensive breakfast offerings and modern amenities, although the rooftop bar's prices have raised some eyebrows. The service is generally applauded for its professionalism and warmth, but it hasn't been without occasional hiccups in speed and consistency. Opinions on value and room sizes are mixed, with some guests finding the space snug and the rooftop indulgences on the steeper side.

Check in was very informative and helpful. Two rooms booked, one king double and one superior twin. Both excellent rooms on the fourth floor. Rooftop bar was good. 10% discount if you were staying at the hotel. Didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment on that! It was expensive - £2700 for two rooms for three nights but hotel felt safe and was in a good location. 20 mins walk to colessium, trevi fountain and Spanish steps. Hours walk to the Vatican. 6 minute walk from Termini station! Would recommend.

Hotel's Favourite
Stayed for 4 nights, in 2 twin rooms, at the Doubletree Monti Rome. We loved the modern, updated hotel and its great location. We travelled to Rome by train and appreciated the 10 minute, gentle down hill walk from Termini Station. Upon check in we were greeted with warm smiles from the lovely staff. We were given in house dining/drink information and offered incredible advice for Rome restaurants. The rooms are quiet, stylish and well lit - and offer plenty of electrical plugs/USB ports. We appreciated having the small fridge to keep waters, drinks chilled. The bathroom was lovely with a great rain shower (good water pressure), fluffy towels (& wash cloths) and nice vanity amenities. Our visit coincided with a record breaking heat wave and temps feeling like the 110's/43+, so we had a challenge getting the rooms comfortable. We were in touch with the front desk staff and maintenance to help with the a/c and they were happy to assist - so don't hesitate to ask them. The hotel was happy to call "legitimate" taxi's for us when needed and always provided a "number" so we knew we were hopping in the right one. Even with the heat we did explore Rome by foot a good bit. The hotels location is 17 minutes from the Colosseum complex and about 20 or so minutes from the Trevi or Spanish Steps. We really enjoyed the in house dining/bar options at the Doubletree. Starting at 530pm, the MUN rooftop bar, has a friendly, welcoming staff and creative bartenders/drink options. They also spoil you with delicious, rotating, apertivo bites. We tried breakfast and dessert at Mamalia - great variety buffet in mornings. Our favorite spot was the MiT food & coffee brewery that is open from 8am-late afternoon. They offer wonderful fresh juices, delicious coffee/espresso drinks and the terrific options for lunch. Due to the heat we planned our tours for early mornings and so appreciated having this high quality, convenient option within our hotel. They offer delicious salads, fresh sandwiches and even a burger/fries and the staff was friendly, professional and efficient. Nearby dining recommended by the hotel staff - Osteria Il Riposto for delicious, reasonably priced pastas, salads, bruschetta. Also had wonderful meals at Tonarellla and La Tavernetta 29 in Trastevere and Mariuccia not far from the Pantheon. Grazie to the staff of the Doubletree Monti Rome. We look forward to returning to Rome, staying with you again! and recommending your property to family, friends and colleagues.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Doubletree Rome Monti for one night on April 1st 2024 as a pre-cruise stay. Although we didn't have much time in the room, we still found the experience to be fantastic. We arrived early in the day at about 10:30am. The hotel is located a short and convenient 10 minute walk from Roma Termini. There was no room available, as it was very early in the day. So, they did store our luggage for us and then we returned at 11pm that evening to check-in, as we had a full duty out exploring the city. The hotel is beautiful. The lobby is very tastefully decorated, from the upstairs seating areas to the main lobby with the front desk. The main lobby has a whole bunch of knick knacks on the shelves, giving you lots of opportunities to look around and explore. There is a coffee shop near street level. The front desk staff is very friendly and thanks to our Diamond level, we were upgraded to a junior suite with terrace. The room is gorgeous. A very plush and comfortable king bed with lots of storage space and a desk in this room with a two seat couch. The room has a lot of great decor elements, plenty of closet space, nice size tv and the most amazing balcony with a great tree and views of Roma. The bathroom was also great with a heated towel rack, a lot of different toiletry amenities, a nice shower and a large tub. The toilet seat was unfortunately broken in our room; however, other than that everything appeared to be in working order. The breakfast, which was complimentary as a Diamond member was fabulous, with an overwhelming amount of choices! We had a great short visit, and hope to visit this property again in the future.

We stayed here for a few nights recently. Location was a short walk from the train station (and downhill) Check in was easy and we left our baggage at 12 and went to have lunch and came back at 1:30 and our room was ready. Room was nice on 7th floor and had a huge balcony. Rooftop bar was nice but wish there was access to it during the day as it’s the best view and primary outdoor area at the hotel. Gym area was nice and decent setup. Outdoor downstairs bar easy was nice as well. Breakfast had a lot of options but most food was bland tasting. Lots of local restaurants worth checking out nearby.

Do not stay here! They have a no cancellation policy that they do not notify customers of. As a Hilton Honors member I expected more. Customer Service was extremely rude and left me on hold for a very long time then transfer dumped me onto someone else that wasn't even at that location. When I tried to cancel two weeks before hand the woman was just rude and ridiculed me. The funniest part is that they literally emailed me and asked me if i was coming. I am 100% sure they rented the room to someone else and made twice the money and that's why they asked me if I was coming.

We stayed here for 5 nights in mid-March of 2024. Staff was very friendly and attentive. We paid to have breakfast included in our stay and enjoyed it every morning we were here. The lobby breakfast was a buffet style with American and European style offerings. Cereal, yogurt, toasts, croissants, small pan au chocolate, scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, breakfast ham slices (not American style bacon, but very good). Also fresh fruit, potatoes, Suppli (fried rice and cheese balls), and two cappuccino/espresso machines. The rooms are spacious for European standards and the property itself was modern and clean. The room also had a Lavazza capsule coffee machine which the staff refills every day with new pods if desired. A few minutes walk from the Rome Termini train station. 10/10 would stay here again

We loved this location; close enough to walk to all the main sights, but far enough out of the very busy hustle and bustle. Based in a quieter leafy area, the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Staff were professional and courteous. Several local cafes and small restaurants in the area and we started each morning with a cappuccino and pastry at a local cafe where we were the only English speakers. This hotel and its location are well worth a consideration.

Very nice hotel and great staff. I was on a Jet2 City Break and booked this hotel through them after reading the reviews. I had a very small issue with the room that I was intially given but the reception staff were really helpful and so nice and gave me another room, I thought the rooms were perfectly ok and clean. The location wasnt bad and I was able to walk to most places like the Trevi Fountain, Colosseum, Pantheon etc but a little far for me to the Vatican City so I used the Metro. When or if I return to Rome I would definitely stay here again

This was an excellent location and the staff at reception and at the roof top bar were very friendly. The only thing that let it down was the hot food at breakfast. It was so cold which meant we couldn't eat it. We went early to make sure it was hot but made no difference it was cold every day we were there. I would say if you happy with continental breakfast then i would go for breakfast if you like bacon sausage or scrambled eggs or boiled eggs I wouldn't go for the breakfast and eat elsewhere. I actually noticed that someone made this comment in November 2022 about the breakfast and the hotel said they would speak to management- shame it's still the same.
