You can walk from Termini Railway Station and navigate the small alleys to reach this hostel. It is quite easy to find and there are a lot of shops around to buy daily necessities or to have decent dinner or lunch. The hostel situated on 4th or 3rd floor (I can't remember), but they have antique lift to use. The... More

We came to this hostel immediately after checking out of another hostel which we'd had a terrible experience at. The rooms were big and spacious, the bathrooms were very clean and the showers were good (not the best water pressure but definitely decent). Staff were incredible and very helpful. Only downside was that the stove does not work.

The hostel is just half of floor of a building, it really doesn't have a reception, so the check in and everything you have to do it with hotel across the street, and prepare yourself because they're not the welcoming type. Basically the hostel it's just 4 rooms with 3 shared bathrooms, that aren't really clean. It's near to the... More

The location is within walking distance (even with luggage) from the Termini Train Station, but far away enough that there are not lots of random people hanging around it. I walked from the hostel to all of the main sites, including the Vatican. It is a very small hostel, it has 4 rooms of 6 (I think). So not the... More

So I cannot stress enough that this location is so great, within 10 minutes walking distance to Termini station. There are many buses here as well with very convenient routes, e.g. bus 64 would go straight to Vatican City. There are also grocery markets nearby which are helpful to stock up some water and snacks in your room. All in... More

Throughout travelling Europe this was one of our favorite Hostels, because they had fair sized rooms with only 2 bunk beds to a room which was a lovely change to the 12 people per room hostels we had been in previously. The hostel was pretty easy to find too which was helpful. the rooms are very old but have personality,... More

Girls only. I stayed there for 4 nights, I had only booked 3 but had to arrive early so we had the chance to book one extra night with no problem. My friends and I stayed in a room with a private bathroom - hair dryer included! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hostel is close to Roma... More

I stayed three nights in the room closest to the entrance door (lower bunk bed closest to the window, in front of lockers), and got bed bug bites on my feet and torso area. Rome was the last leg of my one month trip to Europe and I did not get bed bugs in the other hostels I stayed in.... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
