A fantastic hotel situated in an ideal location for visiting the sights and sounds of Rome. The staff are both helpful and knowledgeable. There is a decent breakfast spread which is all fresh. Waiters and waitresses are always smiling and helpful. I'll be back!

We arrived in Rome on the 28/02 for three nights, after a very short walk from Termini station we found ourselves at the hotel, and was greeted with a street map and a smile, we were given two very welcome glasses of Prosecco as a welcome. We were a little early for our room so had a chance to peruse...

We could not fault this hotel in any way. Our welcome was superb, and every single member of staff were wonderful. Our room on the third floor at the back, which we had requested as a result of tripadvisor reviews, whilst "compact" was beautifully appointed, excellent decor, very comfortable, absolutely silent - we slept like logs. And the breakfast was...

Could not have picked a better place to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly, our room was very spacious and well equipped. Breakfasts were excellent with lots of choice, and the location couldn't have been better. All in all a perfect choice!.

Just returned from a four day break in Rome and a wonderful stay at the Artemide Hote. I can only endorse the many previous glowing reviews on Trip Advisor. From first entering the hotel to the final goodbyes my wife and I were treated to such first rate treatment that it was just like dealing with old friends. All the...

The Artemide was really easy to get to - just a short walk from the train station. On arrival we were greeted by the excellent hotel staff who made us feel extremely welcome. The room was fantastic; spacious, clean and quiet. The hotel itself is a perfect location for getting around town and all the major sites. Everything was first...

Fantastic city hotel without it being corporate. Free wifi and mini bar (just water soft fronks and a couple of beers) staff brilliant well presented and very courteous. Breakfast room service was ordered and delivered within 10 minutes by a charming well presented young lady with perfect English. Room relatively small but spotless clean and very comfortable. I would definitely...

My boyfriend and I stayed here end of Feb 2014 for 4 nights. The hotel interior was 4 star, very comfortable, immaculately clean, modern and comfy bed. What really set this hotel apart was the service, nothing was too much trouble for the front desk or porter staff. We were recommended great restaurants which were also booked for us (and...

Pros: 1. Excellent front desk staff. 2. Rooms are of good size. 3. Good value. Cons: 1. Location is not convenient. It is fairly close to Termini (train station) and a Metro stop, but not much else. 2. The Via Nazionale is a very major, busy street. Therefore, rooms fronting the Via Nazionale are quite noisy. If you are sensitive...

My partner and I stayed at the Artemide Hotel for 4 nights at the end of February 14. This hotel is one of Rome's hidden gems. It is located centrally and we never walked for more than 20 minutes in any direction to reach a major attraction. The hotel is very clean and the staff very welcoming and friendly and...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
