The hotel Quirinale was an exquisite hotel with unique decorating that was consistent throughout the hotel. The garden out the back was wonderful & the breakfast area was also lovely. The room itself was beautiful, with a comfy bed & a crystal chandelier . The shower itself was powerful& effective, however the shower doors are outdated & could do with...

My wife and I have just concluded our stay at the wonderful Quirinale Hotel in Rome. We chose it because it was not far from the Roma Termini which is how we were travelling around Itay, but its has so many more features. The location is fantastic. It is central to almost all the major sights and it VERY close...

Title says it all really - a fabulous location within 15 mins walk of Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and maybe another 5 mins to Colloseum and Forum areas of the city. Bar/restaurant staff were very attentive. Garden is a wonderfully shaded, cool oasis in what can be an extremely hot city in August! Drinks are quite pricey - but they...

The good points are that the hotel is close to the Roma Termini so is a great location. The building is charming and has an elegant old world feeling. The rooms are spacious and the bed was very comfortable. However, the indifference of the staff means the quality of service doesn't match its supposed 4 star rating or price. Also...

Group of 6 had 3 adjoining rooms booked months ahead at 100 Euros per night including breakfast and free wifi. A great bargain. Front desk very helpful with many questions our companions had. Great variety at breakfast buffet. Rooms were small but a great value and a very nice bathroom. Would not hesitate to stay here again should we ever...

We chose the hotel based on Trip Advisor ratings and comments, and were very pleased with our selection. It's located a block from the Piazza della Republica and within walking distance of Trevi, the Pantheon, Piazza di Spagna, the Forum/Colosseum and other important sites. We took advantage of their laundry & dry cleaning services which were not only excellent but...

We booked a junior suite for us and our two children for a holiday in Rome. We had some trepidation based upon some other reviews. Our experience of the hotel was excellent. Our room was ideal for us, the decor, cleanliness and quality of the staff we found very good. Breakfast could be a bit of a scrum, but this...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
