My friend and I stayed in Casa Howard for four nights. The location is superb! When I return to Rome I think I will look for hotels in the same area! It's in walking distanse from The Spanish Steps, good shopping, the Trevi Fountain and so on. Upon arrival it looked nice and clean with it's own kind of atmosphere....

I stayed at Casa Howard with my sister for 5 days and the location couldn't have been more perfect! The hotel is just down the road from the Spanish Steps and is in walking distance to the Trevi Fountain, Bus and Train terminus, and the Pantheon etc. We found it hard to find at first, and actually walked past it...

My husband celebrated his 30th birthday is Rome - we stayed at casa Howard for three nights - this guest house is boutique and has a real sense of fun. There is a big smeg fridge stocked full of Veuve Cliquot - you could be in an Ab Fab scene. The rooms have great style with a unique feel. The...

Checking the website you would be forgiven for thinking Casa Howard was some type of boutique residence. Nothing could be further from the truth. It is divided between two properties a fact that my wife and I were well aware of and accepted. When we arrived at the annex we were met by staff who proved to be far from...

Dear Sir, we are so sorry you did not enjoy your stay at Casa Howard. On your reservation it is clearly stated that we have 2 properties and that the payment is to be made at the check-in time. You can also read on our website that, for the rooms which have it external (but still private), the bathroom is...

Pure chaos, returned yesterday May 26th. I chose this based on some reviews; I try to take reviews objectively, I am not a naysayer. We were never told which guesthouse we were using our first mistake, there are 2. You need to know which room they are giving you. I think that makes the difference. The staff is great, Warren,...

Dear Sir, Thank you for staying at Casa Howard. Our housekeepers and staff always do their best to meet all the clients needs, and we are very sorry if they gave you this “pure chaos” impression. Your comment pushes us into doing better. Regarding the breakfast, it still is completely free and included in the room rate. We sincerely hope...

It was a find. Very reasonable. Convenient located between 2 train stations, close to all the bus stops, close to the spanish steps. The rooms were beautiful each one having a theme. Fantastic Digs - they upgraded us to a room with our own bathroom (didn't know you had to choose this). Service was exceptional. You need to be in...

We recently spent 6 nights at Casa Howard, Via Sistina, and our stay was truly memorable. My spouse discovered it from a review in The Guardian. Centrally located near the Spanish Steps and Piazza Barberini (and the metro station), we felt like we were true residents of Rome with our third floor flat. Because we stayed 6 nights, a car...

We had a fight immediately upon entering with the owners. They had designated us to a room with a bathroom on the other side of the space rather than a room with an attached bathroom, which was what we had booked. The bathroom she was showing us was indeed a private bathroom but it was not attached- we had to...

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
