For the final leg of our European trip, we booked Hotel Sant'Angelo for our first visit to Rome. We chose it entirely for its location, as we wanted to be close to the Vatican and Piazza Navona. We had done our research and read the mixed reviews, but just wanted a bed to sleep in the area we wanted to...

I have just returned from a four-night stay at the Sant'Angelo, and will certainly return if/when I go to Rome again. I was with my daughter and her fiance, and we all very much enjoyed the location - almost on the bank of the Tiber and walking distance from many of the sights we wanted to see; and because it's...

We stayed in the annexe down the road, where we had lovely rooms that were very comfortable and kept incredibly clean. All the staff we met were without fail friendly, helpful and charming. It's also in a great location - from Piazza Cavour you can get a bus to just about everywhere and a lot of places are in nice...

This hotel has great location for exploring Roma - in a quiet street close to the river on the Vatican side. You can walk to the heart of Roma or to the Vatican through endless charming little lanes. We only took a bus one day to go to the Colliseum and then from there walked back all the way. Sunday...

We were very happy with our stay at the Hotel Sant'Angelo and would definitely stay again! This was our first trip to Rome and the hotel's great location provided easy walks to all of the sites we wanted to see. Our room was clean and had lovely crisp white bed linens (room 205). We had a double bed, which was...

We have just returned from 4 nights at this hotel. When we arrived at 5pm we were carted across the street into another building named 'Angel Hotel'. Clearly Angel Hotel is an 'overflow' hotel and definitely NOT WORTHY OF 3 STARS. Our room was extremely unsatisfactory with a broken toilet so they moved us to another room, this was tiny...

First, the location. It is very convenient, near to Vatican and near to all other central sightseengs, and 50m from the shuttle bus from Fiumicino stop. Second, price is good for Rome. Third, breakfast is really good for Italia, pies and fruits were especially nice. What I didnt like: temperature in rooms, the floor is made from stone, it is...

Hotel Sant Angelo is really well situated and allowed us easy access to the main sights of Rome. Our triple bedded room was in the main hotel building, some are in an annex further along the street. We booked the room after reading reviews, so there were no surprises when we got to our small room with a tiny bathroom!...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
