If you're going to Rome, this is the place to stay. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, clean ultra modern rooms and air conditioning that works. Breakfasts are a little pricey, but just down the street is an excellent restaurant.

The hotel looks new, just decorated, nice and comfortable. The service, not that good, except for the boy serving breakfast some days, very very helpful. For the rest we were there at the begining and at the end of our trip to Umbria and Toscana. We asked for the last part of the trip to stay in a room with...

We chose this hotel after researching many places since we needed 2 rooms and didn't want to pay the prices for the hotels on the top of the Spanish Steps. We were very pleased with the size of the modern rooms, bathrooms and showers (with 3 different shower heads). Additionally the location was great being near the Spanish Steps and...

I preface this review by saying, I have been in hotels from excellent to rubbish all over the world, but this hotel was the biggest disappointment of them all. The location is perfect, some 5 minutes walk from Via Veneto, perhaps the most iconic streets in Rome. On entering our room, we were delighted by the size and decor and...

My wife, our daughter (8y) and me, we spent a weekend in The Berg Hotel in Rome. The DeLuxe room is the only room possible to book if you are staying with a child. While the small hotel is modern with a nice bathroom, the DeLuxe room had no view (a dark small areaway). We immediately wanted to change the...

We have just returned from our honeymoon in Rome, 4 nights at which we spent at The Berg. Our room was a deluxe double (excellent deal on Venere.com) and located on the 3rd floor. The building is quite discreet from the outside and located between the Via Veneto and Spanish Steps. We were easily able to walk to all the...

Stayed 4 nights at this hotel. It's off the beaten track in Rome and when you arrive not much to look at. However once inside the black marbled reception area with the warm greetings and responses you are put at ease. The room waa excellent ,big kingsize bed, very comfy plus large flat screen televison showing numerous satelite chnnels. The...

The hotel was selected by our excellent Travel Agent; Full Circle Travel. The hotel is so discreetly sited you would pass it by. But the interior is designed to the best effect. The room was SO chic, with wonderful lighting arrangements, a large and comfortable bed and a shower to die for; the jet sprays and drencher were very relaxing...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
