So close to the very central Termini station but on a tree-lined street off the grimy main road. The guesthouse gives you a taste of life in the old buildings of Rome. The white room was spacious, airy and spanking clean. The toilet was not en suite but surprisingly, I didn't mind because the bathroom assigned to the room was... More

The red room in which we were staying is perfect; it's beautiful, comfortable and clean. Both the room and the associated toilet is just as nice as the pictures on the website, and a little bigger. Everything you need is available, even a hairdryer and shampoo. It's very close to Termini, the metro and the bus, but if you like... More

Nice, comfy and clean place with an amazing staff! Good location near Termini. A bit noisy street during night but I can definately recommend it to others!

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo may look all street with its pulse in urban art and street food, but don’t be fooled. This gritty student neighbourhood immediately east of Termini train station is on the avant-garde rise. Art galleries, curated mural projects by artists like Rome’s favorite Alice, charming cafes, and boutique restaurants are slowly infiltrating the streets of San Lorenzo with counter-culture chic. Don’t worry, San Lorenzo still retains its local vibe with weekend festivals and demonstrations, and is always a hub for Rome’s university student scene.

“The blue room (Via dei Mille side) was spacious but others may be bothered by the noise at the cafe below. The double rooms are located in front (Castro Pretorio) and more quiet at night when the windows are shut. Regardless of which part in Rome you stay, be prepared for the constant noise of sirens.”
