My wife and I went there for 3 nights at the beginning of February 2017. Location was further out from main attractions than ideal but it was in a nice quiet area with several good local restaurants. Hotel facilities were basic (no restaurant and soulless bar) but worse was the room - unable to open shutters so didn't see daylight..!...

The hotel was certainly not what I would call a 4 star but it was clean and the staff were friendly. It was only about 15 minute walk from the Trevi Fountain and an 8 minute walk to a Hop On Hop Off stop which all the tour buses stopped at. In a quiet location so that was good. The...

We stayed here for 6 nights and we cannot fault the hotel at all. The hotel is decorated in a traditional Italian style, with each bedroom having an individual style. There was a wide choice of breakfast items, both hot and cold, and the dining room was very traditional offering a self service buffet. The staff were extremely friendly and...

Stayed 3 nights. Comfortable, quiet, good A/C, nice breakfast included. Great location. Easy walk to Metro subway, Hop-Hop Off tour buses & city buses. Lots of restaurants to try. A small outdoor market on the block.

A comfortable if small room and fairly quiet hotel. Shower only facilities were clean and adequate. The breakfasts are served by a welcoming staff and the concierges are very well informed and helpful. The best part of the Veneto Palace is its location, as it is close to Villa Borghese, Via Veneto and so many of the great sites are...

Very good location just a 10 minute bus ride or a 20 minute walk from the centre of Rome. For the two of us this room was perfect- small and quiet away from the noise! The rooms were decorated in a very classic style and the bathroom was satisfactory. Wifi was very strong. Overall, I would say not 4 star...

This hotel was handy for the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps and it was in a quiet location. Decor in the reception area and and breakfast room was in the classic style. The concierge was helpful in assisting with a booking, but did not address our complaints about the room effectively. Our bathroom had a good shower but only very...

Stayed for 4 nights and paid the extortionate €48 City Tax. Without sounding like a record i agree with most of the reviews. Great location. We walked everywhere even to The Vatican City..and 20 minutes for Trevi, Pantheon, Spanish Steps & Colosseum . Breakfast average. Couldn't stomach the cooked fayre. Below Par. Tinned Hotdogs and a bright red "slush".(iam an...

OK hotel but wouldn't say it's a 4 star hotel, at least not by British standards. For breakfast there was only three hot items, dry scrambled eggs, burnt bacon and hotdogs, the rest was cold good. The room was fine but got really hot during the day and they air con unit wasn't working, when I went to tell them...

Friendly staff but the bathrooms had a foul smell to them. Others on our tour complained of the same problem. Adequate breakfast. Not impressed by this hotel. Traveled with Insight Tours and found the hotels in Florence and Venice to be much nicer. This hotel was the only negative about our tour - an opinion shared by most of our...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
