I brought my 74 year old mum to Europe (from Australia) for her birthday. Rome was our first leg after 29 hours of flying from Melbourne, via Hong Kong and London. So you can imagine we were both a tad tired on arrival. The week before leaving, I had checked the Airport web site for details on Taxi costs and...

We enjoyed our short stay in this hotel, which provided everything we had hoped for. Conveniently situated some 10 minutes walk from the central railway station, the reception staff are welcoming and helpful. Our room was comfortable, and although there was some traffic noise from the street, it was not too intrusive. Most of the main sights are within reasonable...

I really recommend this hotel. Excellent: location, amenities, breakfast, kindness of the staff, cleanliness... They have wifi only at at the reception floor. It would be nice if this service was availble at the rooms. Anyway, it is still the best hotel in the area.

In selecting Gambrinus hotel for a two night stay with my teenage children I did consider whether it would be better to stay in the city center . The railway station is only a ten minute walk distance from the hotel . It was good to be able to relax in leafy surroundings after a hard day of sightseeing in...

We stayed at the Hotel Gambrinus the last week of September, 2011. First things first - this hotel is NOT centrally located to Old Rome sites - the Coliseum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, etc. You would need to take the #60 bus, which is located two blocks over and a block down from the hotel. Warning - trying to get...

The location of this hotel is very good. You can get to some of the sights walking about 10 minutes. The hotel was very clean, the staff very helpful with an excellent breakfast, however as this hotel is extremely busy food at breakfast can run out so dont leave it too late to go down. I only have one critism...

This hotel was perfect for our trip to Rome, a reasonable price for a good hotel within walking distance to some of the sites and an easy bus ride to the others. A bus to the Vaticam took around 25 mins and about 10 mins to Colloseum. The Spainish Steps and Trevi Fountain are probably a 20 minute walk. The...

Our hotel room was small but big enough for two people and luggage - given the amount of time we spent in the room it didn't matter. Very clean & tidy. Reception staff were really really helpful. This was a cute hotel. It was very European being very small, but considering the amount of time actually spent in the room that really wasn't a deal breaker. Staff was friendly and very helpful.
